NAD 2200/PE best amplifiers for sound. Ive 2 & half of them (doner amp) (also other spares). Build quality is ok. Its what it does in performance. No other amplifier professional or domestic can achieve what these things can do. A design that has never been beaten and tons better than the QUAD current dumping units. 405 & 606.

Edward Davies have you ever listened to the NAD 2150 amp? If so, how would you say they compare to the 2200?
The mids sound real good. Have you used any other preamps that make the NAD 2200 amp sound even better?
Try a tube preamp. I use a Schiit Freya to warm up the sound.
