My friend in uni had a bus. Going to a UB 40 concert, his gas cable broke. So, I had to sit in the back loading area doing it by hand. 30 KM on the high way. I will never forget that evening. Perfect driving from me in the back and my friend in front. Like nothing happend.

What a meticulous restoration! DEFINITELY a CONCOURSE restoration. Love the fact that you re-use/rebuilt as many parts as possible and only use new parts where is makes total sense. Doing all the work yourself gives you the confidence that it's being done right too. I know it is very time consuming but when it is completed you will have one of the most unique and beautiful van upgrade/restorations probably in the whole world. It would be an awesome experience to see Kona in its fully restored condition in the future, I really hope I get that opportunity.

@27:00 I'm picky about wiring too! In my younger days I just wired-up things as I went along but then coming back to fix something years later, I forgot where it all went! Now I keep a folder of my wiring diagrams for each car, along with the factory manuals. 😁
@29:40 That's the photographer's/videographer's eye for you! I put daylight bulbs everywhere! Saves constantly having to adjust white balance. Plus, I prefer the blue-white light to yellow-white for everyday inside house lighting. Of course, for automotive gauge lighting I always go with red to save the night vision...
Hey mitch, its easy to see auto electric wiring is your forte. Very neat, well done professional installation. I've seen pros in shops not do this good of a job.
I have a better chance doing my daughters hair for prom than that wiring job. They both going to end up looking like Bob Marley mix with spaghetti...

Mitch, you shouldn't tempt fate that way, I bet most of your viewers would take Lori's side in a split , so watch out ! he he... On those cables, the grease will help protect the cables and fittings inside tube, but the exposed parts can rust too, so maybe blast em with a coating of an anti rust silver, or bottom matching aqua ? It can be brushed on if spraying is too much trouble. The wiring is looking good too, are you considering a new career in wiring up old buses ? Hope the respray is greener to match the bottom color better... it was definitely too light and more baby blue than aquamarine imo.

Ten film bardzo mi sie podobał, bo to już nastąpiła faza montowania osprzętu elektrycznego i detali kokpitu. Wykazałeś się znajomością montażu i świetnie sobie z tym radzisz. Oglądam Wasze zmagania w tworzeniu przyszłego kampera. Sam zamierzam spełniać podobne marzenia, ale w oparciu o gotowego auta Peugeot - Partnera, w którym poprzestanę na wmontowaniu gotowego elementu z drewnianych płyt, które w całości zamierzam kupić w internecie. Pozdrawiam serdecznie z Polski i czekam na zwieńczenie Waszych marzeń. Podziwiam Ciebie jak Ty sobie radziłeś z tymi kablami nie korzystając żadnych schematów. Istna wirtuozeria.😀😀👍

Not cool to joke about divorce. People enjoy your videos and are have been invested in watching for a couple years now. This was a big step backwards.

If your clutch cable does snap, you aren't stranded...you can drive without a clutch!
Step 1 - With the car OFF, get the car pointed in the direction you want to go by rolling it so you can immediately drive away. (i.e. push it out into the street and pointed down the road.)
Step 2 - Put the car in 1st gear.
Step 3 - When you are ready to go, turn the key (with your foot off the brake). The car will start to jerk and shake as it is trying to start while in gear. It will start in first gear so be ready to go!
Step 4 - When it starts, drive it and run the RPM's up kinda high and pop it out of 1st gear, take your foot off the gas, and hold the gear shifter up against 2nd gear with light pressure. When the gears line up it will fall into 2nd gear.
Step 5 - Repeat Step 4 until you get up to the gear you want to run in.
Note 1: When you need to stop. You pop it out of gear and turn the ignition OFF. Coast to a stop, and do the whole thing over again. This isnt ideal in busy areas with lots of red lights, so you will need to have patient people around you as you are doing this when the light turns green and everyone wants you to go!
Note 2: There is no reverse possible in this procedure at all!
Note 3: Test this out and get good at it while you have no issues with your car to practice and get good at it!
