    WARNING: I am a License Professional. Proceed with Caution. You hair needs to be in decent condtion to do anything. If its not... the color will just rinse out. That is a good sign you need to start backing off damaging your hair and get a good plan and hair routine for getting your hair back to a healthy state. trust me.... ALSO: In order to get SUPER vibrant colors.. your hair needs to be a 9 or high level. If you don't know what that means... you should not be lightening you own hair.
    WHAT I DID to get my Pink hair:
    STEP 1: Roots : Magic Ammonia Free Powder Lightener + 20 and 30 Volume Wella KP Developer + B3 Bond Builder.
    Process until hair is the color of the inside of a lemon. Mine took about 35-40 mins. Shampoo.
    STEP 2: TONER Equal parts Wella Color Touch 10/01 and 10/1 + 1.9% Wella Developer
    Apply to damp hair. ROOTS first for 10 mins. Last 5-10 mins apply to ends. Shampoo and Blowdry.
    STEP 3: Start with Arctic Fox Diluter in a WHITE bowl. I added a good bit of Arctic Fox Virgin Pink and mixed. Then kept adding a dot of Arctic Fox Purple Rain and Sterling until I got the desired color. Test on a paper towel. Apply LIBERALLY to hair from roots to ends. Let sit for 45-60 mins.
    PRO TIP: RINSE WITH COLD WATER. Closes the cuticle/seals the hair. Also I like to go a few days before shampooing it out helps to keep it from faded so quickly.

    Very interesting about ultra damaged hair being like a straw thing. I've noticed that semi permanents color tends to stick the most to my dryer, most damaged pieces of hair. I can't say my hair's been shredded, though.

    I bleach and tone my own hair, but I swear by Olaplex and various hair masques, I'm glad you mentioned that to keep the integrity of your hair. I will say I have never achieved an all over ONE color there is always like one strand or patch that doesn't want to lift as much, very frustrating but it could also be my application. Either way great tips and color! Love purple rain I am currently wearing that and it's vibrancy is ever lasting.

      I haven't heard of her! I'm doing my homework for achieving the pastel but I'm dreading the up keep. I like that you mixed the Sterling, your final result looked "metallicy" (like that's a word) and I'm wondering if it's thanks to the Sterling. Either way you got an amazing variation ^__^

    Help I have a question I'm doing this tonight. The first time i will bleach do i still tone even if I got brassy orange and I think I can do another session of bleach to get it lighter yellow. I'll wait a couple days to bleach again or should I use a lighter this time? Then finally tone or I always have to tone after each bleach?

    • @CoffeeBeforeBeauty
      @CoffeeBeforeBeauty  7 років тому

      Dulce CUEVAS You need to lift the blonde up to the inside of sa lemon. You need to get thru the super brassy stage. That would be like a level 7 or 8... u need to be at a 9 or above. You shouldn't have to double bleach your hair. I toned mine with an ashy toner for 15 mins to get yhe yellow out so it was a blank canvas. If you dont know what u are doing.. go get iy professionally lightened

    How long does the color last ?

    • @CoffeeBeforeBeauty
      @CoffeeBeforeBeauty  7 років тому +5

      Andreina Estrada It really depends. I didn't wash my hair alot and I used sulfate free shampoo. It did fade a good bit after 3 weeks. So I did a quick refresher. But most times that I do my hair I go way darker bc I love how it fades out. I did find that when I do a grey/purple it tends to last longer and I love how it fades. You can also process with a tad bit of heat... that should open up the cuticle a little more and the color may lasr longer. These are temp or demi permanent dyes. Not really made to last longer then 4-6weeks.

      Coffee Before Beauty okay thank you so much when it fades does it go back to the blonde color u had on your hair ... I'm asking because I always dye my hair gray n I want to try a new color and now my faded gray hair is a ashy blonde because of the gray fading .... I want to be able to go back to gray afterwards doing the pink

    • @CoffeeBeforeBeauty
      @CoffeeBeforeBeauty  7 років тому +3

      If you do it once and jusr let it fade...its gonna go to a peachy pink. My advice to get that peachy pink and as close to blonde as possible is to do theee ol' Head and shoulders triple shampoo... leave it on for and hour with a towel on your head. Then deep condition or do some coconut oil hair masks. Whatever is in Head and shoulders will pull the color out pretty well. But the massive sulfates will dry ur hair out. If u are a stylist or know more about hair you can use clear permanent color with 10vol on wet hair...That will pull any fashion color out in 10 mins with minimal damage. Do not bleach the fashion color out... it will just push that pigment farther into the hair shaft. My advice try the head and shoulders if need be. And I agree. I love my purple/grey bc it fades perfect no crazy peachness. Good luck!
