    Made this recipe on the stove with a little tweaks. I halved the white chocolate and butter, added a little less sugar and flour (just removed few teaspoonfuls from 1 cup). Although it did break apart slightly, it had an absolutely delicious flavor. It was goeey and fudgy with nice crisp sides. My family isn't a huge fan of baked goodies, but they all enjoyed it a lot. I'll cut back some more on the sugar next time though. But overall a keeper recipe and very easy to make. Thank you so much! :)

    So why was the butter melted with the white chocolate? Does it stop the chocolate from splitting?? I know that white chocolate can have a grain like texture if you split it while melting

      But I tried making it and I didn't get the crust the way you did, any tips?

    • @MaverickBaking
      @MaverickBaking  7 років тому +1

      From my understanding, the crust occurs when the melted butter and sugar react and the long slow bake makes it crackle like that? It doesn't really become a crisp crust or anything, it stays soft. Is that how yours was? :)

    • @Raveena260
      @Raveena260 6 років тому

      Maverick Baking yeah it tasted great! But it just didn't look like yours with the crackly crust at the top! But maybe I needed to mix the butter and sugar for longer 😊

    I think about to use brown sugar instead of white. Do you think this will make them even more butterscotchy?

    • @MaverickBaking
      @MaverickBaking  3 роки тому

      Brown sugar will make them much darker and will probably add a butterscotch type flavour - though it may mask the white chocolate flavour. I’ve never tried it with brown sugar but it could be really good!

  • @corinnafischer1274
    @corinnafischer1274 6 років тому +4

    I'm confused. In the Video you used 3 eggs but in the recipe you wrote 3 eggs plus 1 eggyolk. Which is it? I would really like to try this recipe... Looks absolutely Yummy!

    • @MaverickBaking
      @MaverickBaking  6 років тому +6

      Corinna Fischer when I wrote this recipe I used 3 large eggs plus a yolk but I now typically just use the 3 large eggs. The extra yolk adds a nice richness if you add it, but it isn’t strictly essential. Hope that helps, and thanks for pointing it out!
