It is a German product. Three more years from now he may still be using it! Sure they are expensive and among the most expensive but you get what you pay for. My Series 7 never irritates me. Of course I don't use it to scrub the same spot until any person would be irritated by that point. On the other hand I once had a cheap Remington shaver and jokingly thought a sander would give a smoother shave and less irritation! Of course the Remingtons are just cheap Chinese junk and also won't last as long.
I’ve been looking at getting the series 9 pro. My current razor is a series 7 and I’ve had it for 5 or 6 years and while it’s got some wear to it, it still performs its job well.
Great review. Got mine this week. Same “con” for me too, the tough hairs on the neck. I’m guessing these little buggers are curling inward and could potentially become in-grown hairs. Excellent tip to solve that issue. Many thanks. Always great to watch real people making real , insight and helpful videos. Cheer from Melbourne, Australia 😊
I discovered with the 'Con' and tough hair under the chin, if you use a Balm it comes off easily. I also discovered by lifting your head and stretching the skin downwards that helps to get rid of it too. I no longer have that 'Con' problem😊🤗❕
I just bought mine today at Costco for $199.99 man I am so happy I made that purchase. I am a barber & I cut hair in SAN Antonio Texas . I bought 2 andis shavers this year 😭 I am so sick n tired of andis & walh shaver always breaking. I would always replace my andis foil every month to maintain its sharpness. But I realize andis shaver where lacking performance. I used the Braun series 9 all day today and man I’m so glad with its performances. I had clients who have very thick hair that came in today & told me that Braun’s series 9 was smooth. when I was Balding their hair it was so easy , smooth ,faster and cleaner shave than my other electric shavers. I am glad I bought it ! I will keep you updated
I also have the Braun 9 and I'm not a barber. I don't use the cleaning system.Just rinse under hot water and a little soap. Especially like to use in shower. All your cons are valid. Thanks for the excellent review👍

I bit the bullet and got a Series 9 pro. I am very impressed. It handled a 2 day growth on head and and face very well. Like anything there is a learning curve, but man I am impressed. Didn't need to use the manual razor for anything. No irritation which I can sometimes get especially with the babyliss fx 2. I can feel a small wee bit of hair but I knew that was a possibility going into it. I will test next with 3 day growth and then 4 day growth. it says it can handle 7 but I don't let my hair get like that anymore. The wow factor was def in effect. You were right Al, it's a winner.
So I’ve decided to embracing being bald, rather then shaving off my head at home, I went to my barbers and wanted him to trim it to zero and shaped up my beard, I took my Braun series 9 pro with me and asked him to use it, MAAAAAN his reaction was something to see, lol he fell in love with it the second it touch the back of my head. He was speechless. It felt so effortlessly smooth on the skin and just went through my hair like a knife through butter. I think it definitely helps if you have fine hair, My hair ain’t thin but also ain’t bristly. I got a china man type hair. But now I’m rocking the bald look and so glad I didn’t go down the road of hair transplants/smp nonsense Thanks for the review. It helped me decide
@@BigAlsShoppableReviews it sure as hell feels freeing and liberating… I got about a dozen gashes and scars on and around my head, so it’s quite an adjustment from people doing a double take and I’m quite self conscious about it. I have had a series 7 for about 6 years now and am preparing to replace with a series 9. I use it for both my head and my face. This review looks like the series 9 will work well for shaving my head.
Thanks for the video hermano! I have it for almost 4 years. Love it. Dont like to buy the cartridges tho so I manually clean mine to save some bread. live from Brooklyn NYC peace
I bought one about 6 months ago and like it a lot. To me it’s not as quick as a razor, it’s about the same, but the same results. Side note, I noticed the kids in this video don’t look too happy about getting a hair cut...but then again, I didn’t either when I was a kid. Good review.
I got one of these as a recent gift, I owned a Philishave series 8 for 23 years and the battery was still in A1 Condition, The Braun Series 9 Pro does not work while plugged in and does not collect hair stubble, It drops hair all over the place unlike my old Philishave.
I only shave 1-2 times per week, and the series 9 seems to have a real problem with longer hairs. My series 7 works great. Wish the series 9 had a similar head design to the series 7.
I have Braun Freeglider (no longer in Braun portfolio), Series 3 and Series 6. All are great for the price. Series 3 is the worst because of it`s foil which looses its sharpness after a year or so. Freeglider or higher series 6-9 lasts longer. I`ve changed foils in Freeglider after .... 5 years. But Freeglider was a top notch series in early 2000`s.
I think fades be Morales got the single single foil Braun. Also your review of this machine was the first video I saw from you 😂 I have the Braun series 3 and 7 they're dope 👌
@@BigAlsShoppableReviews Don't remember if I saw it when it came out. I do remember you were in the hundreds of followers only when I started following you.
I know why the middle blades pop out breaking. Its a manufacturing fault the metal clips that hug to the outside foil blades get bent inwards and needs to be pushed outwards with a thin screwdriver or tool. How can braun fix this? Make the metal blades inside that hold onto eachother to be 1-2mm longer
I have that problem with the neck hairs too. They catch on the collar of my shirt and get pulled too. It is awful! In all fairness though, those hairs are hard to get with electric shavers. I wonder how many people have had hair removal done there just to get rid of the pesky hairs that are hard to shave and catch on their shirts. When I say they catch, I mean they seem to somehow poke into the clothing some. Thankfully it doesn't always happen but rather once in a while and certainly not every day. It is just an annoyance more than anything.
Appreciate the review but I love my babyliss and my gamma uno shaver for those smaller areas. $300 shaver sheesh 😆 this coming from someone who got the gold andis that are $400
I would say for shaving face, personally, I would go for Braun Serie 7, much better deal, cheaper and better trimmer. What do you think about Babyliss Pro?
One con you didn’t mention is the replacement heads are complete garbage. I’ve been a Braun user for over 15 years and bought the series 9 when it first came out. It is a fantastic shaver. Unfortunately the last three heads I bought broke before I got three months out of them . I even waited a year and a half before buying the third one hoping they would have fixed the problem. I think I’m going to try the Panasonic.
What kind of hairs do you have? It killed with my face shave. Whereas by Babyliss fx2 is not very good with face shaves for me. Not all Series 9 cut up to 7 days growth. I bought the Pro because it can do 7 so I know it can handle my 3 to 4 day growth.
Blade is always better . But the difference is about $100 difference. But they are pretty much the same . I think k 9 is way better. I use the 7 daily as my personal shaver. I shave daily it's easy and way cleaner than using blades. Plus blades are expensive. I prefer electric razor. At shop I use the 9 on all my fades.
Gillette has raised their price of the replaceable blade cartridges to $3.00 and they don't even last One month two and two makes four but, the greedy corporations think two and two make six or eight, like Gillette they kill the Golden Goose ??? I would go with the Ace 5 but their batteries only last three years and throw away the shaver
Hey Al would you be able to buy the new Series 9 Pro head when it’s sold separately where you live? It is made to be backwards compatible so will fit on your non-pro Series 9. It would be nice to get your opinion on if the changes are worth it on the head alone for older model users as it does cost a bit more than older model heads as it’s newer and has different parts including a part designed to lift hairs which should fix your main con on stubborn hairs.
@@BigAlsShoppableReviews They are, but I’m asking if you’ll try out the new 94M head when it’s sold separately from the Pro to let us know if the improvements are good as it’s considered one of their biggest improvements in years as the 9 has been out quite awhile, but besides the new head there’s only an additional charging case so I wonder how good the new 94M head is. As currently there’s only old gen cassettes on the market, but soon the 94M that is on the pro will be sold separately.
