I like to build scale models, and when I do it, I simply record it on camera, so everyone can see it. I would have always built models even if it wasn't recorded. I just like my hobby. By the way, I like your style of videos.
PLASMO - plastic models ,yeah, dude!!!I recently started Yak-3 1/48 fom Zvezda, and try to find som professional video from modelists in UA-cam and finally you upload this video! It is like Feast-day for me! Thanks, man!Like always incredible work!
I used to build but no more. Now I watch videos of real pros like you. I enjoy yours very much. The choice of background music is superb. Perhaps others watch as I do to relax. The music adds greatly to the effect. This is an authentic service, your gift to your audience. Congratulations.
Nice to see a build for the Yak-3, I've always liked this little-known gem of a fighter plane. "Whedering" is actually "Weathering" - Helpful Dave. Another great video, keep up the good work.
David, I'd love to see you have another crack at this kit or maybe the LA-7 to see what you could do these days with such simple mouldings. Always an inspiration sir!
Tak nějak mne napadá souvislost s War Thunder :D Tam je tento Jak-3 a hlavně 3P velice dobrý - tedy v RB nevím jak v AB .Samozřejmě výborná práce Davide - jako vždy :D
The Yak 3 fighter, which actually appeared after the Yak 9 came as a nasty surprise for the Luftwaffe pilots, including those flying the famed Focke Wulf 190. To the point that Luftwaffe command issued instructions to its pilots to "avoid combat below five thousand metres with Yakovlev fighters lacking an oil cooler intake beneath the nose". Its high power/ratio made it a very fast, very agile aircraft on a par with the P-51 Mustang and the Supermarine Spitfire. To improve aerodynamics, the aircraft was covered with a thick , carefully polished coat of wax. And David my friend you truly are a great artist. Have you ever built a Mosquito ?
I’m really impressed with your builds. I am a good builder and go for details but all of mine look like they are new, I am trying to learn how to make them look more used or (real) and I have seen over 20 of your videos. Keep posting I enjoy watching.
Beautiful job. Looks very much like the Yak 3 I pilot in War Thunder. The weathering is a good bit of extra work but well worth the result. When I get back into model building I'll have to try my hand at that. But good grief all supplies I'd need!
David I absolutely love your work and I think you are so creative and talented. But there is one thing that you do that I don't understand. That is that you cover your beautiful work with that dark brown or black oil wash. I find that not only is the color too dark but the uniformity of the color across the entire model really affects the scale illusion. I think that the wash makes the model small and visually uninteresting. When ever I watch your videos and you get to the oil wash I'm saying "uh oh" in my head :) This criticism contrasts with the awe and amazement I feel when you do something like paint the inside of the cockpit or when you scratch-build an antenna from a wire and a q-tip ! I wish you all the best. Thank you for your work and for generously sharing it.
OMG, what a Beautiful job, your an artist... If I may offer a tidbit of information for you? The prop is weathered a little to much. Because of the constant speed props design, the mid face and trailing edge of the constant speed props rarely shows any wearing. Only the leading edge 1/4 to 3/4 in will lose paint. The back of the prop can have small paint flakes missing like freckles through out. :-)
Great building but I prefer the videos when you explain what you are doing, instead of the very loud music! It is much more helpful for beginners when you do the latter! But Amazing skill as always!
Another great build! I'd love to see a very modern helicopter like the AW101/HC4 Merlin, the NH90, the OH-1 and/or H145M because Helicopters aren't just like planes, tanks or cars I'm just curious about what a top-notch modeller can do.
I must ask, why didn't you buy photo etched parts and what not? Usually, you'd god out and buy tons of after market parts, but this one you didn't. Is it because the kit was already flawless, or did you just not want to get into the trouble of it all. It's another great build. I'd love to see your take on 1/72 armor.
Flawless :-D rather opposite. The kit is horrible and very old, so any modifications are useless. However, It was very good change after models with many modifications. 1/72 afv? Now I make 1/35 Tiger. ou :-(
Nice little model. Always liked the Yak. Very fast, very small and deadly in good hands. Very underrated.
Very beautiful! How do you manage to get this amount of output of these well done videos? Impressive 👍

+PLASMO - plastic models Both of you guys make awesome kits. Toms are brilliant videos but imo your aircraft come out a little bit better.

Yak-3 is very gracefull aircraft - well done David ! Wales UK.
Absolutely in love with the model and the last piece of music!!!
Nice to see a build for the Yak-3, I've always liked this little-known gem of a fighter plane.

Another great video, keep up the good work.
Great use of music. It's always a pleasure to watch this craftsman.
You made it look highly used and never washed. Very authentic. Great job.
A real beaut. And that last angle really makes her just great.
You are certainly one of the best model builders in the world.
as I expected, what a fascinating work
after a long time, I missed your videos, happy to see you again :)
David, I'd love to see you have another crack at this kit or maybe the LA-7 to see what you could do these days with such simple mouldings. Always an inspiration sir!
Thanks. I always learn so much from your videos. You construct them thoughtfully so they are enjoyable too.
it would be interesting to see you do something like a ocean liner or a battleship
OMG! Watched that in my first high school year! And it's still here!
Fantastic work as always David. Thank you for sharing.

David you demonstrate superlative mastery with every video.
As always David, fantastic build and video, thanks for sharing.

You sir, are an artist!

Yet another outstanding build! Well done!
I'm big fan of your models, absolutely grate job, please add some more works on your channel.
Very inspiring work, David. Great job.
Nice kit, nice build! Would be an excellent Out of the Box entry project for IPMS competitions!!

Another masterpiece made to look effect less from David
brilliant build David as usual
O vídeo mais legal que eu já vi.
Dando um aspecto de envelhecimento na pintura, show de bola.
Superb. Really brilliant finish.
you should write manuals for people on different levels such as beginner, intermediate, and professional.
Hello David, Happy New Year ! Amazing model and amazing channel ! Can You tell me, from which material is the main antenna ?
Thanks !

Great paintjob
you have an amazing eye for detail
thanks, you give me some good tips that make it easier on the build.
Hi, yet again, very nice. I know this is a couple of years old now, but is this kit a rebox of the Zvezda Yak-3?
Pane Damek. Vy jste velikej pán. Klobouček dolů.
You my friend, are an artist.
This is so relaxing to watch.... awesome.
Gorgeous work!
Yeah love watching your videos

What scale do you prefer for these kind of kits, 1:48 or 1:72?
Great building but I prefer the videos when you explain what you are doing, instead of the very loud music! It is much more helpful for beginners when you do the latter!
But Amazing skill as always!

Those Russian ww2 aircraft seem quite hard to find in model shops, or at least i think so.
But thanks anyway, a nice build!
vert godo. thank... Buenísimo.

Another superbly buitl model......awesome.
