You've inspired me to start making my own scale model aircrafts. I've bought myself the Airfix Supermarine Spitfire Mk1a / Messerschmidt BF-109E-4 Dogfight Doubles kit and I'm starting with it tomorrow! I've been watching your videos non stop for the last couple of weeks and I feel that I've already learnt a lot to get started. Thank you! Wish me luck :)
@@stephenminett111 Dogfight doubles are re- boxings of old tool kits, marketed at beginners. Their new tools are MUCH better, and much more expensive, though not quite up to Eduard or Tamiya in terms of parts fit. My advice- for detail and ease of construction - go with Tamiya. Eduard are great if you don't mind a bit more of a challenge!
As a craftsman myself, one of the greatest highlights I find in life is someone who genuinely excels at his craft(s). CUDOS my friend. I will probably contact you for assistance on my B-1B Bomber project.
You are not a modeler, you are an artist! Tnx to your videos I go back to my hobby from the past, and start learning from the begining. All the best my friend :)
Mr. Damek, you triumph again. Build after build the same stunning results after brilliant technique. Congratulations sir, it's always a pleasure to see a master at work.
Plasmo, you have got to be the Best in the business, I have watched a lot of videos on model airplanes builds and you are by far the best. Love watching your videos. Thanks.
Sorry to be so off topic but does anyone know a tool to log back into an instagram account?? I stupidly lost my password. I love any assistance you can give me.
@Kylo Nikolai Thanks so much for your reply. I found the site thru google and Im trying it out now. Seems to take quite some time so I will reply here later when my account password hopefully is recovered.
Beautiful David, as ever! I hope you have a great and safe trip - 140km per day for 2 weeks is amazing. The most I ever did was 160km in ONE day ;-) Good luck!
Maravilhoso, mais uma vez! 3 vídeos consecutivos! Só no teu tempo livre?! Isso também é uma obra de arte. Os meus dias deveriam ter 48 horas! Wonderful, again! 3 consecutive videos! Only in your spare time ?! This is also a work of art. My days should have 48 hours!
Posting a lot of videos lately! I like this new schedule :P Where do you keep all your finished models? Do you have a shelf or do you donate them to a local museum or something? Also, are you planning on tackling any 1/72 armor or any-scaled naval kits in the future? Also, how on Earth do you cut out the masks for your planes? I always have had trouble cutting them; usually digging into the canopy plastic or ripping the masking tape.
Bf109B thru E-3 maby E-4 series: Cockpit areas are RLM Green-Gray 02. It depand on the date of manufacture. the E-4 version could be painted with RLM 66 too.
All cockpit interiors were painted RLM 02 until November 1941. After that date the colour was changed to RLM 66. Wheel wells and landing struts however remained RLM 02 throughout the war.
David - I see you passing the PE shoulder belts through a hole in the back of the pilot seat. My kit doesn’t have this hole. Do you remember if you had to cut or drill the hole out? Many thanks - you are an amazing talent!!
After watching from nearly the beginning of your posting of your build video and being that there are more than a few modelers of each type out there, it is still my humble opinion that you are the best at the craft currently out there in video land. I know that can not be said lightly but I stick with my comment. It's A pleasure to watch each and every one, which I do several times. In fact I make it a habit to go back and watch your B-17 build regularly because it is my favorite aircraft of all time and I've not seen anyone do it better, with more detail until we get up to the 1/32 scale version which is an entirely different matter.
Still have the Eduard E-3 unfinished in my stash. This is a nice reminder to continue it in some time - what a beautiful model you made from this kit. Excelent paint job, especially the post shading is incredible!
Why did planes have those forward-pointing arrows painted on fuselages? I saw some modern planes with those too. Like "this is the direction this plane will fly! In defiance!!" I wonder what they're there for.
Wow! I am very inspired by your well made videos! Simple techniques but extremely effective! I saw that you shade the panel lines after the spray colour......... do you thin the paint very much for this step? Also, what wash did you use for the underside....... same black oil wash for the top-side?
Hi, PLASMO ( David ) are you an artist, Thank you so much for Teach me to make better aircraft models... I view all you models in net, really good work. Thank you... Cheers from Spain.
Did you use the engine cowling from the kit? I am making the same model now, but the pastic seems a little thik. Did you modify it by removing some of the thicknss? I love your model builds very much. They got me back in the hobby:D
that is a really great build, i once made a Bf109 but ruined it with way too much chipping in alluminium colour, i thought that it might look cool, but i failed
Screw world peace, I want some pizza. strip it, paint it again. I salvaged my Spitfire mk.1 after the varnish I put on it went bubbly and a thick white colour. filling all the gaps. eventually it came out really well. little bit of chipping shouldn't be a hard fix:)
Looks stunning, amazing skills, so I have to ask. Did you use sandpaper to smooth the joining of hull and wing halves? Didd you have to correct the rivet lines?
Very nice, that's a great looking 109! Do You shoot the Super Clear III straight from the bottle or do You mix it? What needle size? Air pressure? are You using...As always a great vid, thanks!
Hi, thank you for great video. Lately I'm modelling only 1/35 AFVs, but after looking at your videos, decided to try make one Bf 109G for myself. Also I wanted to ask, where did you got the engine parts, but now I can see, that engine was part of an E-4 kit, but unfortunately, seems like there is no engine in Eduard's G6 Profipack. This is a bit unfortunate.Maybe someone know, where a proper engine parts for Bf109 G-6 may be found? Thanks)
The airbrush is useless without a good air compressor with adjustable air pressure. When you want a thin line and not overspray, you spray near the surface with low pressure .A badger 200 with medium nozzle is the best airbrush for plastic modelling.I have 4 airbrushes and the Badger 200 is the simpler and better for our hobby.I can tell you more but the previous written is the conclusion after years in hobby and much money spent on airbrushes.Buy a good air compressor and then the airbrush. Then you have to practice a lot painting an old and/or simple model. The more you practice, the better for you. That is my advice.

waiting for your upload bro ;)
How'd it go?
I’ve built that set, it was crap, the moulding was rough and the cockpit of the Bf 109Es cockpit had no detail, shame on you airfix

They must be very old tools . I can remember building dog-fight doubles with my Dad when I was about 9 years old . I am 62 now !

I’m always amazed at the detail added, it’s like the real thing shrunk down!😎
13:25 I nearly spat out my drink when you started with the dark oil wash! Turned out amazing, as usual.
Wow, amazing work as usual. I've never finished the engines but after looking at your work, I am inspired to try.

I already finished is-2 and t-90 in 1/72 scale, so maybe I will cut video from the build. This bf-109 kit from Eduard has precut mask for a canopy.
how do you paint spots?
why don't you paint color cockpit RLM 66?

I wish when it came out of the box is already painted the parts so that the left is for the assemble.

Yes, I did. I used ordinary needle or pin and made new rivets. Like in this video here. ua-cam.com/video/WruYArStlIc/v-deo.html

Awesome build. Do you thin your Tamiya paints to spray them and if so, what do you thin them with?
Do you have any tutorials on how you mask your canopies? They're awesome.
insane good quality builds!! love them, those pencils are prismacolor?
I used Koh-I-Noor Mondeluz Aquarelle Pencil Crayons
What do you use the airbrush? And how the nozzle?
I have three airbrushes, but I use mainly H&S infinity with 0,15 mm nozzle for painting and 0.4 mm nozzle for varnish.
