*Story Behind The Video: (Please Read)* I recorded the first clip of the video on Bourbon Street at 7:33 PM and the second clip at 7:27 PM. I am a freelance photographer and filmmaker currently pursuing an MFA in Film Production at the University of New Orleans. During my vacation, I visited the French Quarter multiple times and captured beautiful slow-shutter photos, but I had never recorded any video. That night, the atmosphere on the street was calm and heartwarming, so I decided to film a video to share with my parents, who are my only regular viewers. After filming, I hopped on a bus and returned to my dorm room, and I uploaded the video both here and on my Facebook page. I went back to the French Quarter around 11 PM to celebrate New Year’s Eve at Jackson Square. Once the fireworks ended, I walked through Bourbon Street again. After 1 AM, I took a bus home, feeling tired and not in the mood to record another video. I went to bed around 2:30 AM with a happy mindset. The next morning, a reporter from Sweden contacted me about an incident I was unaware of. I began receiving calls, texts, and emails from various news organizations. I granted them permission to use all of my content. Sky News conducted a live interview with me that lasted about six minutes. (Here is the link: ua-cam.com/video/CzuyFCOsgBk/v-deo.html) A reporter from The Washington Post collected my original videos and photos to assist in investigating the attack. Today (January 5, 2025), just an hour ago, two FBI officers came to speak with me, and I shared my original content with them as well. I hope it will aid in their investigation. I came to the USA in August, only about five months ago. I never expected any of this to happen to me or to New Orleans. You expressed your gratitude and blessed me for sharing the video. I feel proud, but at the same time, I am heartbroken. Thank you for reading. 🙏🙏 New Orleans Strong.

We live less than an hour away, so Bourbon was for our young days, we don’t go anymore…but I have to say, you’d just have to experience it to understand. The atmosphere and energy can be like no other. A non-stop party everywhere you look. The wildest mix of people that you’ll ever see, all together, having fun. BUT it is dangerous. So if you go, watch your phone and your wallet and NEVER stray off of the main streets. Bourbon straight to Canal to hotel. And always with a group, the larger the better.
Ty for this pickture of joy and fun . God Bless New Orleans Always. So sad one man had to go and hurt people. prayin for you all from So Calif.🙏🏼🙏🏼†🙏🏼🙏🏼

How could anyone hate on people having a good time? Just get out there, join them, and dance. Darkness is a spirit and not the person who does evil though a person can fall to its deadly power. We all have the light in us if we use it against the darkness in our spirit to not fear and give up.
