I have been to Yellowstone a few times and saw first-hand people get attacked by animals they were too close to. It was never a dull, or unrewarding experience.
I saw a guy who I thought should be charged with harassing wildlife. Never mind, the buffalo solved its own problem, the guy spent 2 weeks in the hospital, and went home so busted up that he had to take months off of work.
I loved how the hog gave him a direct answer to his question. Many humans have become so embarrassing that animals are too done to deal with their shit😂😂
The fact that he wondered if he could have pet a warthog made me yell *"WHAT?"* It's a fucking warthog! He's lucky he's alive. It's fucking insane how stupid people are.
i remember getting spotted by 3 wolves in a forest. Srsly the last thing i thought of was taking a picture of them. they stared at me for like a minute, blocking my path. I took the biggest stick i found, made myself as big as possible and slowly walked backwards, so i can see them.and they can see me. then they luckily moved on
You experienced an ancient human fear/sensation: being hunted. As individuals we are weak to bigger animals but as a cohesive unit we humans can also hunt back. 3 wolves were probably just curious but one human against a hungry pack is another thing😅
I live in Europe. Once was out in the countryside with a group of friends, one of them suddenly decided it would be a good idea to jump the fence to pet a horse. The horse disagreed and bit him. The guy was lucky he got away with just a nasty bruise. It's beyond my comprehension how people aren't afraid of huge, heavy and strong animals
I think non-country people have a very bambified/domesticated view of animals. It comes as a shock to them that wild animals do not look at people as their friends.
it's simple... it's because they're stupid... Stupidity is extremely difficult to understand if you're not stupid. So as long as you are not a predator youself or a foodsource you should be fine for the most part.

I think they get this impression from watching the countless videos of them being hunted by predators. They must believe: that if they are practically walking carnivore food, they must not be able to fight back. It must be these types of people who are reported being attacked by animals like deer every year.
Herbivores can easily be more vicious than the predator class of animals simply because their weapons are brute force and not sharp claws and teeth. They are surviving in the wild for a reason and that is because they are tough.

“Idiot season” is damn right. Hard to believe these retards have managed to make it to adulthood… What’s even harder to believe is they’re probably raising children.
As someone who lives right next to YNP, I can say this shit happens ALL the time. The saddest part is if the animal does do something it’s likelihood of getting put down is greatly increased. Instead, we should put these people down. However, they hardly even get fined, a little slap on the wrist, and an animal gets euthanized. Sad
I'll tell you.. when somebody gets upset and asks something along the lines if an animal's life is more important than a humans life I am more inclined to say that the animal's life is more important.. so these days at the beginning of my transitioning phase into my golden years my hearing just isn't what it used to be.. when somebody gets irate in such a manner I usually have a hard time hearing them anyway.

This could not be better timed. Tomorrow morning we're recording a podcast on the subject "are UA-camrs ruining tourism", or words to that effect. Basically, the "influencer" phenomenon and its impact on locations around the world. I was going to argue that most people travel responsibly, but that there's always one exception. Then my weekly dose of Joey B reminds me that there's a lot more than one.
Worked on cruise ships for 6 years. Most “tourists” treat wherever they go like they’re at an amusement park. Can’t admire from afar or with humble patience. They need that constant sensory overload.
@@franfenderjazz this is a good point and one that we observe frequently in our travels. Our "cruising" is different as we live on our sailboat and travel slowly. Our boat is our home. If we find a place we like, we stay and try and get under the skin of the culture, but then we're a different kind of tourist. If you only have two weeks in a new location, that sensory overload motivation is inevitable, unless you're just looking for two weeks on a beach, doing nothing but chilling (nothing wrong with that). Cruiseship travel is the worst kind. Pollution on a massive scale, mass exodus in a port for a few days, little money spent ashore except in tourist shops, and, as we see in this video, people desperate to get that shot before they move on. The locals must look on in despair and bemusement.
I'm a hunter and a hiker. I've had my fair share of run-ins with wild animals, most of the time outside of cell service and miles from the nearest highway. Bears, pigs with piglets, deer with fawns, cats, coyotes. Pigs are scary as hell. They seem nice until they're not, then they'll take a leg off. I'm always rooting for the animals though, especially when they're being harassed.
I vividly recall the first time I saw an elk in person. I knew they were big. I was picturing a big deer. Might F, they're like draft horses with antlers. Still haven't seen a bison. But they gotta be even scarier. A buddy of mine is a veterinary tech in the San Diego zoo's hospital. He deals with every kind of animals. He's told me the pigs are by far the worst

And chasing behind them were several park rangers yelling at the morons to come back! Unfortunately, no mauling occurred, but I was really rooting for the bear.

What people don’t understand is that a lot of predators tend to stand still and stare at their prey. These animals look at you and think, “well if this tiny thing is going to try and attack me I better tell it off!” The best thing to do when you see a wild animal that doesn’t appear to be a predator, you walk calmly away and try to not make much eye contact with it, as an indicator that you’re not going to prey on it?
That’s a thing with predators and prey Predators will back off if they think the prey item is too risky to deal with without serious injury. They firmly believe in self preservation(hopefully I don’t have to say a thing about approaching predators because at that point I can’t help you) Prey just see anything as “it’s gonna eat me” and will straight up kill you to defend itself
If my dog that usually likes to hunt looks at you calm, benevolent while positioning itself lower than you, very slowly and you run away from it.... Or jump around, move your hands fast and make high pitched noises... Don't do that in the wild !

People seem to think that if an animal is a herbivore it’s completely harmless, which is not true at all
I think they get this impression from watching the countless videos of them being hunted by predators. They must believe: that if they are practically walking carnivore food, they must not be able to fight back.
It must be these types of people who are reported being attacked by animals like deer every year.

Yes. The answer is yes. Now if only they could all just stay at home and watch videos of each other on UA-cam, the world would be a better place.

You’re actually correct
That’s a thing with predators and prey
Predators will back off if they think the prey item is too risky to deal with without serious injury. They firmly believe in self preservation(hopefully I don’t have to say a thing about approaching predators because at that point I can’t help you)
Prey just see anything as “it’s gonna eat me” and will straight up kill you to defend itself

On point 😂😂😂😂😂
When they ask "Can I pet him", you know you're in trouble
That was perfect. Best voiceover ever. Made my morning.
One of my favorite UA-camr! Watching this video makes me help vent out how tired I am of these idiots in the world
They vote! That's how we got Biden
@@100pyattExactly!!
@@100pyatt as if Trump is a good president dumbass lol.
Btw im a foreigner I dont live in the USA.

The „Hi boy“ and the following second always gets me hahaha 😂
I love how the warthog tricked him 😂
I know. Like a car salesman pretending to be your friend.
@@mr.nibblenips4231all salesmen have the mindset of: I need to make money no matter how or what. It is their job to be a fake good person. Sad
"That's right, sit there and smile. Here I come. We're all friends here. I can't believe I'm getting this close. Stay frosty, that nitwit thinks he gets to pet me. Oh God, not yet. Closer, closer...SHOW TIME!!!"
Unbelievable how many stupid people we have walking among us. The bison woman... Dear Lord, the impact alone would have kill her in the spot and she doesn't even realize that.
What's really amazing is how those stupid people seem to have money and also manage to _vote!_ Want proof?! Just look at who/what they vote for or elect as their leader. I'm telling you, "Buffalo Gal" is probably on the _high end_ of any overall intelligence quotient where anything like a society norm is taken into account. You can thank a _teacher_ for that, if you want. Better yet, thank ol' Buffalo Gal -- she looks like a teacher!
We've lost a few Japanese tourists over the years here. Even though there are signs "do not leave your vehicle" people still think they can jump out their cars and take selfies with wild lions.
@@malumachado4561 Jesus Christ.
I know, I’m shocked it didn’t continue and trample her to death….too bad
@@malumachado4561 lmao i'd pay to see the tourist gobbled up
I live in Wyoming and the human culling season is just starting here, may the animals be successful this year!
The Narration was SPOT on!
As a Native American with ties to the Shoshone Nation who's land include Yellowstone, the level of stupidity of humanity is why the world is in the state of chaos!
It is all how you look at it. This is natures way of reducing human intrusion on natural resources. As well as mitigating the mentally challenged out of the gene 🧬 pool as an added benefit
Stupidity and greed. Wasichu.
As a... bla bla bla
Well those people truly deserve the Darwin awards
Oh you got that right. My dad was in Africa during WW2.He talked about seeing jackals .Nubian lions and other animals .Must have been Hades for the animals with all the fighting going on.
What's more baffling is that those poeple might put the blame on the animals if they somehow got hurt.
That’s what Trump would do. 😂
@@Bushman9TDS is real. It's in the DSM-V . As a clinician I suggest you look at it and see if you have any of the symptoms. I'm taking a professional guess and say you have a chronic and debilitating case of TDS. There is treatment available. I hope you seek help before you get into the "irreversible damage" group.
The girl who got her Mom killed in a tiger park blamed the park
Don’t feed the wild for us.
Don’t let the influencers live for them.
No feed the wild animals with influencers stupid meat
Bloody hilarious along with the commentary 👍
"Can I pet it?" seconds later: Heeeelp meee.
Classic
Love the lady wearing the mask outside by herself but taking pictures of wild animals up close. 🤣
It is nearly impossible to empathize with idiots
And yet we have to... or else we would constantly be in conflict 😅.
So unsatisfying. All the idiots were unharmed.🙁
I thought Ozzy's commentary was hilarious. .but this is comedic gold.
I mean, "The bison can't even believe it. .‼️"🐃🥴 😂
It was okay she employed the "run and fall on the ground" defense. Imagine being on the ground with a mature bison keeping you there. They got nothin' else to do but gore you from time to time until you're dead.
