@@UnholyKat yes it is about Joe. The song was written in April/May 2023 which is was time she was dating Matty. Also the line "old habits die screaming" literally shows that this was a long thing.
The way I interpret which guy which song is about is pretty simple... she left Joe, she was over him before they even broke up. Matty not only dumped her, he just took off, no explanation. Broke her heart far worse than ANY of her prior relationships.
100% It totally blows my mind that it wasn’t on the original album drop. Down Bad and Who’s Afraid of Little Old Me were neck and neck for my original number 1 song on the first part before she dropped the complete project. Black Dog has easily made it into my all time top five TS tracks.
Taylor like many artists uses writing to process her feelings in the moment. It doesn't always mean she still feels this way. In fact, she says once she makes the songs it gives her closure.
You should listen to the prophecy. It’s I think the hardest song I’ve listened to. it’s so raw, so personal. I think it would be a really good song for you to react to
You’ll really like, and I hope you react to “But Daddy I Love Him” and “LOML” as well! Themes of loss, love, marriage, anger and more run through this entire album. Great reaction!
Tom Stevens from Texas; subscribed! Watched this and a couple others you did for Taylor Swift (including your Live Reaction to the Anthology!) Love the reaction therapy channel with more to explore... Later!
Oh my gosh. Watching the reaction I read what was written on the hoodie and for some reason the first part of tte word tberapist wasn't visable so it read My rapist us an influencer. I had to look again and gladly saw id misread the word.
I'm sure if you dated someone for 6 years and they go to a bar the second you broke up, feeling "insecure" would be an understatement.
She said she wanted a “break” then a week after I saw her (location) go to a bar and go home with someone else. That person is now her girlfriend.
A lot of people think she’s speaking to Matty and not Joe. I think it could be a little of both. But the whole thing about Matty was the insecurity.
This song is not about Joe

this is my favorite track from the album.

Yeah it’s pretty brilliant
@@Darkntwisty88I feel like the main album is angry Taylor then the anthology is more sad Taylor. But I agree

"The Starting Line" is a band - but same thing, music that starts playing :)
Im glad you praised her phrasing ....it is so good!
Watching this finally made me HEAR the song, and it hit me hard... thank you for sharing.
Loved the note about the rear view mirror and windshield❤
Peter, The Prophecy, and How Did it End from TTPD are great ones for you to break down. I cry every single time I hear them.
it's not about a shower, it's about her live performance in the rain. thanks for the video!
Its about crying in the shower when you feel upset, shes done that for a while and its even mentioned in the 1975 song ‘the city’
I think everyone agrees you should just react to this entire album 😅 it is therapy in music form
You’ll really like, and I hope you react to “But Daddy I Love Him” and “LOML” as well! Themes of loss, love, marriage, anger and more run through this entire album.
Great reaction!
So, incredibly good as far as interpretation - thank you. I think we all need to feel all of our feelings. Know that you will find it again
