I remember when the old pier was there I would fish there a lot. Biggest mangrove I caught was 18 in. Im sure they're still there

I was just at that pier and was surprised how shallow it is. In the video it looks deep, but when you go there it's only a few feet down.

I use to live in St.pete for 7 years l fished the old Pier the new looks nice
I was out there last Thursday night. Caught a good mix of Sheephead, Snapper and Stingrays

Thonny, I need to get me one of those stones. I see those at pet shops. I never thought of it. I picked up an aquarium filter, for when I keep bait at home. I find that I can keep Mojarra and shrimp alive for 3 days without a water change.

What line would you recommend for florida fishing?
It depends one what size reel you have and rod. For a 7ft medium action rod paired up with a 3000 size reel. I would put 10lb or 15lb braided line and then tie a 3ft of 20lb or 25lb flouro leader to it. That should be good all around. Unless you’re targeting a specific fish then that’s a different story.
I don't use anything less than 50lb test line. Just in case.

That is the finished New Pier? They ruined it, that is the uglyest thing I've ever seen. Looks like a half finished rundown apartment building. And that cost billions? lol. The people of St. Pete really got ripped off on that thing.
