no, only mesh mode can use the same wifi SSID and password, but for this, the router must be tp-link as well (supports mesh)

I’m using the AP mode. My original connection speed is 100mbps. But in AP mode of this extender, I am getting only 10mbps. But If I plug the same lan cable into my laptop I’m getting around 70mbps. why is that?

Oh there are so many things you could do at 14 Mbps/sec. In this video the device was placed by the router for demonstration purpose. But imagine bringing the extender to the room #2 and plugging it in a powerline adapter. Then you will have exactly the same speed in the room #2 without loss. Btw, all my smart home devices (which are located too far away from the main router) are completely happy even with 1 Mbps.
