Cho La and Gokyo Lakes | Day 07 EBC and Three Passes Nepal

- Gokyo lakes is a must do whenever you plan your trek to EBC and Three passes. One can reach Gokyo lakes after crossing the Cho la pass.
I did the trek solo and was able to hike from Dzongla to Gokyo via Cho La and I was also able to hike to Gokyo Ri on the same day.
Gokyo Ri is indeed a beautiful side trail to do in order to see an overarching view of the Dudh Pokhari lake. There are a number of peaks that are visible from the peak.

The next day, I would start from the hamlet of Gokyo and would go all the way to Lukla after crossing the Renjo La.

Yes, it is possible.
I don't know any guides as I did not interact with them.

@creedaz - at 11:52, on the left at the glacier bed, is that glacier or snow has melted away and just dust is there?
It is a mix of snow and debris. That's the moraine section. There is loads of hard ice underneath and it is covered by rock, mud and debris on the top.
I did ebc last year planning to go back and do the three passes dose your body adjust to altitude better with each time?
Can't say much on this. It differs from person to person.

Start from Dzongla side
Start from EBC side and end at Gokyo Side
It's not a Cho La pass , It's a name of King from south India , Karikala cholan , So it's Chola pass ,
He found a new route to reach Himalayas peak ...

U carry your own water or just drink water from glaciers?
I ask the hotel owners and they give me drinking water. There was no need to fill water from the glacier.

1500/- INR i.e., 2400 NPR per day is good enough for 3 meals and stay. You can multiply the amount by the number of days you hike on the trail
