Japan continues to deliver some of the coolest cEDH decks! Let me know down below which was your favorite, and if there's any tech you'll be trying out!
I'm the Magda player in the video. I have an updated decklist on Moxfield under CReyGG. During the semi-finals I was impressed to see Korvold perform so well and take me out of the running post-ban. As a foreigner to Japan, the player-community was really welcoming and even though it was a tournament, my opponents were mostly polite and patient despite me not knowing any Japanese and didn't run into any toxic players. I really recommend playing at the God Of Commander tournaments!!
I was the single Etali player at the tournament -- I really enjoy the speed of play and lack of table talk unless it's absolutely required. With everything being played on a 60 minute timer with draws being a loss. :) I look forward to turning the dino sideways into more players in Feb :)
as a lumra player myself, seeing lumra pop up on cedh makes me happy, i ran a similar combo on my deck where you got nantuko looping and the sunscorched desert just pings everyone for one
Think it’s the new meta. No one is really turboing out their commanders’ so you have more time to set up your own game plan. No need for drannith right now.
The room is a bit better with black market connection, as tokens have all creature types, meaning they are demons too. We get a demon in the first main phase, and at the end of the turn we reduce losses from BMC with the help of the room. Cute synergy:)
Can we get a link to the full deck list(s) ? Would love to see the others, not just top 10. Was interested in the krrik list, cant find it anywhere in a google search.
Zuran orb lumbra and foodchain makes it so you can sac ur lands aftrr tapping and get the mana from food chain to then replay her and then get ur lands back. Its risky tho
Archway of innovation is so weird for me in T&K, because a lot of the artifacts you would tap to reduce the casting cost tap for mana already. EDIT: And I guess Tivit makes artifacts, but at that point you're probably already doing very well.

Absolutely love both this tournament series and your coverage of it! Saw the thumbnail and got super pumped!
@tragicweather love to hear it! Thank you!
I was the guy who got second at SCG con Columbus with Lumra. If you want to learn more about the deck I would be more than happy to chat about it.
I would ✋️
Do a Lumra deep dive❤

I’d be down. Maybe we could get Matthew on board for a video?
I second this! Lumra deck tech when matt??
Would love to see a deck tech and discussion on combos and such

That's awesome to hear you've had a really good experience there! They seem like awesome events, congrats on the good performance!

Finally a cool tournament to cover! Love it! There were so many interesting strategies in this one.
Mirrorpool third ability is a loop with Lumra aswell
45:47 That screwdriver in Tivit 🔥
Good breakdown as always dude. Can only be better when my boy Gaddock Teeg finally makes a cut! ❤❤❤
Im not going to lie, I like the Japanese and European meta much more than usa meta

It was a great event!! I had so much fun! I played Yuriko but went 2-0-4
I'm jealous! Hope I get to make it out to one.
@@LemorasCards it really is something to experience:)
Ive been jammin thassa leveler with the double polymorph effects its my favorite build!
Surprised to not see the Magda deck playing Stoke the Flames
Dwarves tend to get pinged off before you can get enough for it to be "free"
In all lists not even 1 Drannith Magistrate or Dauthi Voidwalker is this a new meta thing or just a japonese thing?
j thing, has never been super popular over there.
I rarely see either of those in USA to be honest either.

I see one once a day yo. Esp in winota@@HebrewHercules
Lumra is just pure spice!!!! Ashaya, Lumra and Vesuva is gg

Just bought all the cards for Grarub, the Fortune Teller of Calamity.

Shred Memory is incredible against Tayam decks, and shuts down Bomber Man and Breach lines.
Using it as a tutor is the fallback for me.
Japan always bringing the SPICE!
44:15 gets steal enchantment, copy artifact, abeyance and damn which transmute artifact doesnt.
MRumble and Glimpse are just bonkers. I'm a Rumble gamer too
Can we get a link to the full deck list(s) ?

or better yet a link to the actual fkn page you used in ur vid

The links for the decklists seem to not be working
Try it now
Springheart on lumra is kinda banger
"Magda, the Thick-Faced Outlaw"
I want to build that Lumra for the local SCG con but $7000 between 6 cards is so sketch to hand over to Cheeto finger for a shuffle
All of min 5 wants me to go and play cedh in Japan

The links for the decklists are broken 😭. Great video btw.
I think it's a mobile Google drive thing where it's not giving access. I'll just post them in the description.
Kerik, Son of Yogmoss 😂
Any Tayam going on over there
It doesn't seem to have really caught on from what I can tell. Hasn't topped any of the events I've covered but I'm not sure how many show up usually.
@LemorasCards ty
"Japanese players tend to not politic as much and kinda target players who do overly politic tables" based af metagame.
pollywog has just underperformed, ive seen it work 1 time for a malcom player, just not that impressed...
I've recently cut pollywog from my malcolm tymna list. Post bans theres a lot less that triggers it early
Bloodpod still alive 😊
Let's gooooooo
Stax for sure got better lol
The data disagrees with you.
"Parn, Niv-Midget"
Not enough gamer talk on this one
I can't please everyone! More gamer talk next time for sure.
