Spare amp, tubes, fuses, batteries, cables, strings, guitar. Also bring tools and a guitar stand.
If you're a singer bring your own mic as you don't want to catch anything.
Some of us are old enough (and lucky enough) to have owned an HH IC100. I got rid of it to get my first Valve amp but would love to have one as an option now. When I listen to recordings from that era - DS1 and BF2 Flanger too - my tone really didn't suck!
bro, please allow subtitles, you are the only youtuber in the world who doesnt allow subtitles on your videos, for non-speakers its a must! thank you
Thanks Dagan. I just switched to a low-cost wireless system to connect my guitar and amp. The frequency response is different than a cable, but it's made practice and being on stage a lot simpler.
Best music shop channel on the tube. The man, the myth, the legend, will explain everything you will ever need for guitar players. Rock on brother
For the mic, remember to get an external windscreen (mostly for marking purposes but also because those are easier to clean) and consider putting decorative tape on it so you can tell which one is yours at a glace, especially if you have two of them for lead and backing vocals it will make the job whoever is doing the mix easier if they can label the channels idk like red and blue on the console in masking tape to know who's is who's.
I own an old 1970's H||H IC100S. Phil Campbell (Motorhead) was at one of our gigs and asked me how I got my sound. That's how good H||H are.
Yes! Fuses fuses fuses!
A portable label printer is also very useful. If you label your stuff it is likely to find its way back to you 👌
One of my first gigs I brought my only bass at the time, an Ibanez active bass. The venue wasn't amazing and so I couldnt really here myself, but basically what had happened is that the battery had run out, and in the audience it basically just sound like fuzz bass - not in a good way!. Bringing spares and having them on you is totally a must! Dope video Dagan!
Like going into battle with poor logistics. Great content, not that I play live but more things I want to buy now 😅
I've just formed a band called 999Megabytes and we're still waiting for our first gig !
Extension cables!
Dude, thanks for all your help! Your videos rock man, and you seem Hella chill! I wish I could sub twice. Ha ha! Rock on!
I was playing a 4 hr gig with my band, our first as a band together. Set up my gear, tested it. 15 mins before we started, we were doing sound check....no sound...my cab just stopped working....
Tip for buying a guitar stand for the non guitar players, buy the kinda stand your guitarist has or the kind that supports by the neck, most guitar stands that don't hang by the neck have compatibly issues with some guitar shapes.
You forgot plectrums.
Guitar stands. Too bad The Beatles couldn’t afford stands.
