Hi, I would like to know what kind of tripod is the best to use all the 83x because with a simple one the image never stays fixed

These are all great but here is my questions. I notice you shot the surfer with the zoom. When I tried that with a moving object the object is gone by the time I zoom in closer each time. There is a lag time for focusing. What am I missing when taking action shot

Shutter speed. Manual focus research is in order, as aperture adjustment and ISO are all required from what I've read. I'm new and have similar issues. It's a bit frustrating but fun as well learning this. Yikes, just realized your comment is a year old. I hope you've got some great shots since!

For zooming u purchase a Nikon p900 for fast focus, buy a Sony .. for best stabilization, buy a *GoPro hero 7 black* and u don't need anything given above, buy a canon 😂

Yes, this is a good add for Nikon. But it is done By Nikon. It would be great if the would do a review on the P900's Mounting problem where the mount breaks off the camera. Bad location for the mount. That would be a Great review.

The DL Series compacts with 1" sensor and other features were amazing when you come back and look at what Nikon wanted to offer to the public at that time...
    ----
Nikon should update the Coolpix B700 to a B800/B900 with features capable to rival Sony RX10 IV, Canon Powershot G3X, Lumix FZ1000 II / Leica V-Lux 5...
At least 1" sensor 20MP (Min) - 20/24 - 400/600 mm with constant Max F2.8 - 4K with no crop - fully articulated TOUCH-screen - Viewfinder - Popup Flash - Dials : "Modes Dial, Exposure Compensation Dial, Drive Modes Dial, Multifunction/Command Dials - Lens barrel with Focus ring and/or aperture ring - GPS - Wi-Fi, Bluetooth - Mic+Heaphone Jacks...
    A real Bridge/Superzoom for Hybrid users (Stills+Videos)...
(Like a G90 with fixed lens)
Z6 body or D5600 like-body could be a great thing for a such bridge...
    (An body update for DL24-500)
Nikon should check all features offered by the other rivals (the 1" sensor group above) and release a great Bridge...
A Bridge Camera is indeed a perfect option with DSLR-Like settings for people who want to jump slowly in photography.
I encourage my friends to look at the Bridges on the market.
My first camera was a bridge and moving to a DSLR was different but not really too challenging because of lessons really learned using a Bridge.
I think Nikon should really bring a Bridge capable to rival other 1" sensor on the market (RX10, FZ1000-2, V-Lux5, G3X) ...
One good great bridge camera could be enough... One great Coolpix for Hybrid users(Stills and Videos) ...

Sorry but I think a lot of this stuff is not from a P 900 as I have one. And one thing I do know is the amount of atmospheric disturbance at 2000 mm is a lot and will result in poor images most of the time ... Looks like Photoshop rides again

i might be a little late but, you turn the dial mode to M (Manual) and rotate the dial next to the on/off button the top.

I always think, why we professionals get a lens for about 4.000 dolars doing 500mm and a "simple camera" do about 2000mm for 1/10 of the price?!

i used to think that, too,, but when i bought my first zoom compact (canon sx730),, i realized the reason why:
expensive lens gives you a loooooooooot better photo quality,, like the details, and all.. (I'm not an expert, btw).
And zooming camera like this (p900), compensates the photo quality (the small sensor).
      hence, the cheaper price...
