As a former HL employee I can attest to the angry looks on customers faces when we told them no more Halloween decorations. All this during the height of Covid…it was like pulling the rug out from under the Jezebel spirit.

I agree. My family still goes trick or treating, but I always got a little anxious knowing I’d have to be around creepy decorations, especially as a 9 year old and onward. Now I’m old enough to brush it off, but I refuse to put anything in my room other than plain old fall decor. My family doesn’t decorate outside much anyway.

Even current ones have been quoted saying they’re surprised and delighted Christians will join them on their holiday. It’s incredibly dark for sure. you should look into the trick or treat phenomenon as well since they’ve added candy in to disguise what’s really going on. I used to do the parties and trick or treating a long while ago, but have distanced myself from anything to do with it.

What used to be considered conspiracy theory has been clearly proven as fact. The satanic temple has even opened its own free abortion clinics for “ritual rites”. It’s human sacrifice plain and simple and pure evil. We could laugh a few years ago and carry on with Halloween when this was all hidden, but now any Christian really needs to think about these things and be wise. We’re in some very perilous times and need to be on guard.

But there are some valid concerns too. It's worth doing some research to determine if Halloween is/can be made edifying for Christians.

All Hallows Eve came from Christians preparing for All Hallows Day (All Saints/Souls Day, Nov 1), not from pagan practices. Even the Jack O'Lantern is not a pagan thing.
