      @@francoismartineau2519 I'm 6'3 215 and I bought the independent yellow bushings they're the hardest ones they have and they worked well. I bought the hard bones bushings before that and they were good too but they shredded eventually. Though surprisingly I haven't felt the need to change the bushings on my new thunder 148s yet

    Way back in 1990 or 91 there were really cool bushings you could buy that were like a constant rate bushing. The bottom bushings were shaped kind of like an hour glass so they would turn like loose trucks but had the rebound of tight trucks.

    This may be happening because most plastics are hydrophilic so boiling them makes them more ductile as they get saturdated with water. The 3d printing community knows about this well and some people boil their nylon 3d printed parts for this reason and keep their filament in a dry box. Nylon if not stored in a dry box can absorb so much moisture from the air that pockets of moisture will boil creating a popping noise and ruin your print. But if you add the moisture after the fact the part gets stronger and pliable. I may test this out by weighing some new bushings and boiling them then measure again to see if they absorb water.

    `Mr Degros, I am not happy with that attitude. My 20 years old Venture bushings are not happy either. As an apology we expect at least one video sharing your always valuable information about skateboarding components that does not include medieval torture on mentioned components. Now go skate!

    i wonder if putting the pivot cups in boiling water will help the squeaking too

    • @CraptopLP
      @CraptopLP 4 роки тому

      i guess not because it needs lubrication like wax, grease or oil to make it stop. just making them softer by boiling them wouldn´t do it

      @PHeMoX 4 роки тому

      Probably not. Pivot cups aren't nearly as flexible to begin with. I'd just wax it up good, no more noise then.
