    I hope you all enjoy these wedding tricks. I used many of them for my own wedding :) If you're hoping to make your wedding budget spread as much to your visuals as possible, these will do just that!

    Cavin, I’d just like to say that I love listening to your videos. Not only are they very informative and helpful in planning my upcoming wedding in July, but your presentation, pacing, and tone is very pleasant to listen to. Your style is great, and you always look so well put together. I’ve watched almost all of your wedding videos already, and your tips are fantastic. Going into the final few months of wedding planning, I feel so much more prepared and informed thanks to you!! I appreciate your work, keep it up!

    Great video! Congrats on your new bridal store! I'm currently planning my wedding and asked two decor companies if they could re-purpose/move the flowers from the ceremony to the reception. One company said of course, and the other said absolutely not.... safe to say I picked the one that was super flexible and willing to move everything and anything around! I'm currently figuring out the escort cards and couldn't agree more that they look boring just sitting on a table with no dimension.

    What we are doing is repurposing our bridesmaids bouquets for the center pieces. We figure they will really only need them for the ceremony. So glad we are doing things that way!!

    Hello again Cavin! Rewatching this as I found it so helpful the last time.
    Our venue is a fixed octagon shaped marquee with off white draping and windows/doors. It's perfectly fine, except above its extrance and exit, there are ugly/bulky air conditioners! I considered getting piping and draping with curtains tall enough to hide these but we can't really stretch our budget to have them and I think they'll look pretty out of place especially if the curtain colour doesn't work with the draping. We're getting floral columns at both the entrance and exit so there'll probably be lots of photographs of people coming in and our entrance as a couple as well will be ruined by these air conditioners! Would it be weird to ask our photographer to avoid the top where the ACs are when she's taking photos?

    • @cavinelizabeth
      @cavinelizabeth  2 роки тому +1

      You can definitely mention it! If I knew there were AC units that were unsightly I would try my best to keep them out of as many photos as possible. If it were an easy and very quick edit I (they might not) would edit them out of my top favorite shots (maybe 2-3) for no charge. They might charge for this for even a single photo but just throwing that out there if you had a favorite photo with the ACs in the shot. But yes, definitely mention it and ask if the photographer can avoid it if possible.

    Great tips - Thank you for this video! You touched on wedding cohesion - I really want a romantic and chic wedding style with the tiniest hint of whimsy. but I'm now worried my dress won't work with the style! I have what I think it's a kinda classic, kinda modern, kinda romantic kinda elegant dress - basically I have idea. Can you please do video of the different types of dress styles and how to match them to wedding/floral styles?

    • @cavinelizabeth
      @cavinelizabeth  3 роки тому +1

      I would have your florist take a look at photos of your gown and try to match your flowers to your dress - or just don't worry about matching. It won't be a big deal if your dress doesn't match the theme of the wedding. You can help blend it with the right hair style, jewelry, flowers, fiancé's outfit, etc. I will think of how to put this in a video!

    Hi, what are your thoughts on silk flowers or dried flowers? Do they photograph well?

    • @cavinelizabeth
      @cavinelizabeth  2 роки тому +2

      I've never shot dried flowers. I have shot silk flowers. Some have photographed really fake and others better. In my experience, silk really depends on where it is purchased from and how they are arranged. Silk does photograph more realistic when mixed with real flowers. There are definitely benefits to using silk and even some luxury wedding florists will use them for certain purposes.

      @@cavinelizabeth thank you for getting back to me. I appreciate your insight and suggestions. I’ll be having a fall wedding, therefore I’m not sure what my options would be for fresh beautifully bloomed flowers. I also don’t like it when the flowers starts to wilt.

    Dollar tree had mini crates that are about 6 or 8 inches long and about 2 inches high that could give depth to the escort cards

    I don't understand the last one. Maybe someone can explain the motivation to me? You didn't send out fancy hand-calligraphed invitations, but you want pictures of something very fancy to pretend like you did? Your friends and family will see the photo and know that you didn't send them one that looked like that... so who is that photo for?

    • @keeganhayes1078
      @keeganhayes1078 5 років тому +3

      Miranda Pontarelli I think it’s become a standard “photo op” or video scene to have these fancy envelopes on display. As I search through photographer portfolios and wedding photos, I see these pics in nearly every single one. So maybe it’s has just become a standard photo/video op that people want to include for aesthetic purposes as they look back on their wedding day. I get what you’re saying though... It’s an odd concept but I can understand why someone would do it. Calligraphers can’t be cheap!

    • @cavinelizabeth
      @cavinelizabeth  5 років тому +4

      Miranda Pontarelli you have it done for yourself. Some brides love the look of hand calligraphy but can’t afford to do it for all guests. Many don’t realize you can just do one set of invites with hand calligraphy for photos and to keep. We did that and plan to frame them really pretty in our home.
