Not sure why the video is not HD! Sorry that it's lower res. Hopefully I can figure out the issue to prevent on next week's video!

Thanks Cavin! These are out of the box solutions that people don't necessarily always think of! I like your fresh perspective. Appreciate you. 💕

If you want a string quartet for your ceremony, consider reaching out to a local youth orchestra or even high school orchestra director. As a string player who played wedding gigs in high school, I can say that many incredibly skilled young musicians would happy to be paid $25-30 an hour for doing something they love (pros usually charge x2 that)

I'm doing a Sunday wedding for the same reasons, saved some money on the venue by doing that, plus all the Saturdays were already booked for 2021.

Thank you for doing this video. I'm certain that it will help a lot of people. I have another money saving idea...but it's based on my personal wedding pet peeve. BALLOONS. Don't do flowers AND balloons to decorate the reception area. Balloons are often banned at most wedding venues (in Southern California/Los Angeles area especially) anyway. Balloons sometimes pop or get loose & caught in indoor lighting gear & fixtures. And if you have children at the wedding they may fight over ballons. Flowers are much more beautiful & classy.
Another money saver: indoor versus outdoor receptions. With venues that offer both, sometimes the prices are different by hundreds of dollars. Personally, I enjoy outdoor weddings & receptions & in my area, more desirable by most people I know (particularly since COVID-19 arrived 3 years ago). However there is always the weather to consider depending on location & season.
You can also save on paper by not having 2 envelopes for the invitations. I have never understood why the addressed envelope is often encasing the invitation in another envelope. It's not necessary. One foil-lined, quality envelope will do the job. At backyard weddings I have seen personalized paper cocktail & meal napkins that just get ruined & thrown away. It's a waste of money. I understand that some couples want their napkins to be the colors of their wedding...cool. But you can buy just about any color napkins you can think of at a party supply store or craft store & save money by not having them personalized with the couple's names & wedding date. Also...little "gifts" for the guests. The ONLY time I have ever found a guest "gift" at a wedding sensible was my daughter's wedding, an outdoor wedding & reception in August in Burbank, CA...personalized, elegant little wooden hand held fans to fan oneself with. I still use mine & the wedding was 8.5 years ago. Money well spent.

We saved 2000 on our venue by booking a Sunday. We booked Memorial Day weekend since most people have Monday off anyway, we basically got a Saturday wedding at a Sunday price. Labor Day same situation

Hey Cavin! I just wanted to say that I LOVE this video so much and found it immensely helpful! You’re spot on-having fewer guests is definitely one of the quickest ways to save.
Also, I want to have a Sunday wedding! I feel bad having to ask my bridesmaids to buy multiple plane tickets for all of the events. I had a friend that I was a bridesmaid for combine everything into a weekend and I loved it! I plan to have a girls’ day and my lingerie party on Friday, the rehearsal lunch and my bridal shower on Saturday, and the wedding on Sunday!

Your voice is too low and the music drowns it out.

@@cavinelizabeth I think it’s just the balance between right and left audio - your voice is much louder on the left side. Maybe Christine was only watching with the right earphone in? Great tips in this video! Will definitely be putting them to good use ☺️

Same. I have headphones too and I only hear her on the left side. I thought it was my hearing or my headphones
