Simple bolt extraction turns into a worse case scenario, I ended up having to plasma cut the studs out , at least it will still work, just goes to show , no good deed goes unpunished! Lol
Lately for exhaust flange hardware I put a smaller impact like a weak 3/8 on it and rattle the piss out of the bolt or nut. The alloy will then come off or out most often with a larger stronger gun. Always a T&M type deAl for bust bolts and nuts. I might also have heated around the bolt and not the bolt itself. Always a hard call to make. Well done
Thanks @ronaldbruzan9646! Ive done alot of bolt extraction and these were by far the most difficult , I did heat the flange also I dont think I put it in the vid, but I dont know if its because they are stainless I would heat them and they would move a 1/8" and seize I probably could have got them out with a little more patience , but the owner was ok with cutting them out, Thanks for watching and commenting!
Check his fuel pressure regulator If your scanner reads live charts learn to read if it's running rich or lean It's saying it's not breathing correctly in a sense
Sometimes a MAF sensor needs cleaning or replaced and they tell the computer to add too much fuel etc. Thus It not breathing correctly. Same symptoms of bad or clogged catalytic converter same codes, Lag on acceleration etc.
@@happybleeding any scanner with live between $60-$200 should do fine for our pay grade ABS, air bag reset ect. Isnt all that necessary but does add more horsepower/cool points
Come back and you almost got 500 subs. 1K subs by the new year! Throw SAE grade 8 carbon alloy bolts or A325 on there to make it bulletproof. The p0420 can be crap or debris got into the catalytic converter and is blocking the airflow the system deems as healthy. Enough for the code to trigger. Just my guess.
Yeah almost to 500 !!!! I put some Grade 8 on there , I guess when he bought it they had just put some new cats on it so Im not sure if its another issue thats burning up the cats , but the muffler shop that did the work got weld spatter all over the o2 sensors !
I was thinking it could be that also , I had a customer that had the same problem with a Nissan , they replace the cats with the weld on because the California compliant cat is way more expensive than the weld in cats , but he ended up eventually buying the ca compliant cat to pass smog

I know it sounds dumb but you should try and keep some b-day candles and melt them on the back side of bolt when you heat it up it really works
Thanks
@spankyjohnsonspeedshop8840 !
Thats the first time Ive heard of bday candles I will have to try it out!
@@happybleeding yes I have heard of candle and I have done it
I have heard of it
Good video, send me info and I check it out. Code doesn't tell u the part is bad. It tells you where start checking.
Hey Chris Its ap0420 code on a 2003 Toyota Tundra with the v6
@@happybleeding I will look at tomorrow on our Mitchell 1

I will let him know , I think your right about the MAF,
I need to get a new scanner the one I have is very old ,
Do you hav any recommendation for a good real time scanner ?

@@happybleeding Maybe it's not an OEM style cat on it causing the tripping of the code.
