- For whatever reason the scene I really wanted to upload (The scene where Lelouch Geasses Schneizel) just refuses to work when I upload it so I decided to settle for this one. From Episode 24 of Code Geass R2 where Nunnally breaks Charles' geass on her.
I honestly did like this scene, mostly for that one second where she opens her eyes and the music completely stops. It was damn creepy.

She was testing to see if Lelouch really had it in him to be evil even to her. And, well...he did it (for the greater good, unknowingly to her).

I agree. It doesn't get near the praise or attention it deserves even though I (and many others) consider it the greatest anime of all time.

Death Note is an anime with an extremely original plot. Code Geass has too an original plot but doesn't at the same level that DN.
The originality of Death Note draws the attention of people much more than Code Geass.
Sure, it doesn't mean that Code Geass is worse than DN, personally, I like more Code Geass, but I know the plot of Death Note is really original while Code Geass has some anime's cliches like mecha, humor episodes in High School, ecchi, and some friendship power.
That awkward moment when that one character you thought was cute becomes the prettiest girl in the show

Her blindness was "psychosomatic". Thats why she kept her eyes closed
The emperor used his geass to make her think she was blind. But her immense will to find the damoclese key after she dropped it overcame his geass giving her her sight back.

one of the most epic moments that i've ever seen. my jaw dropped open and i gasped so much air into me i coughed. i wasn't expecting her to ever open her eyes at all. glad she did though, it's amazing :D

This was by far one of the best scenes from the entire series. Goro Taniguchi (director) directed this so well, he outperformed his own work from Planetes and even Code Geass R1.

I have to say, Code Geass has absolutely astounding voice actors for both the Japanese and English versions. Also, when Nunally opens her eyes, I have to say she is pretty darn cute.

This is one of the most epic/impactful scenes i have seen in anime. It was something else!
I actually didn't like Nunally's english voice. I felt it was too stiff, although it got better later in the show. The voice that really shone in the english version was Lelouch, Jhonny Yong put in a spectacular performance as the dastardly mastermind

Based solely on her performance as Yonah in NieR (who is also a sweet, innocent, physically ill little sister), Heather Hogan would’ve made a good Nunnally.

Yes, well... Charles' is a bit weird... it hits once and if it breaks, it breaks permanentely, no resistance, just snap and gone... Lelouch did this too with the help of C2, but Nunnally did it by herself. Then resistance could have to do with memory interactions, seeing as they DID spend a lot of time together, seeing as Nunnally and Euphemia are the ones that resisted the most it would make sense.
I believe LeLouche explains the phenomenon best when Euphemia was hit by his Geass, she resisted for some time because the command was against her nature, both Lelouche and Charles geass are one use per person and seemingly can be resisted if the geass is forcing upon the target a thought, desire or action they are strongly opposed to normally
There's also times when Lelouch temporarily resists Charles' Geass in Akito, when he starts screaming, or when he just becomes mentally unstable.

1. How did Nunnaly become blind anyway?
2. And how is she finally able to open ner eyes?

1. It was explained in this scene, apparently Charles Zi/Di Britannia (her and Lelouch's father) applied a Geass on her to permanently make her eyes closed, but not blind.
2. This was explained in this scene as well. Lelouch said that she used her own will to break the Geass.
Vi Britannia Thank you. but why did he use geass on her in the first place? And not Lelouch? Also, why didn't she use her will power to break the geass earlier? Sorry for all these questions.
1. He used his Geass on her to make others think that she became blind when her mother was trying to protect her from the bullets. But in reality, she was just an illusion, Marianne knew she was gonna get shot so she used her Geass on Anya. Her Geass lets her soul enter ones heart. This is also why Charles used his Geass to erase Anya's memory of her mother getting shot.
2. Charles didn't use his Geass on Lelouch because there was no point in doing so. Instead he sent both the siblings to Japan as prisoners during the great war.
3. She couldn't since the Geass was powerful enough to overwhelm her. She did however try to resist it at the beginning but failed.
The reason to how she broke Charles' Geass with her own will is because the Geass was applied to her early on when she was still very young. Now that she is old enough and the Geass has weaken through the ages she was able to break it.

When I first started watching this dub, I was waiting for Nunnally to say, "It's been decided." xD

Correction: They are the only two we see fight against it, because the commands each was given was just so against their nature that they fought it. In Nunnally's case, since she accepted it at first and it was nothing violent, she was able to overcome it with willpower later. Euphy, on the other hand, died before it could get to that point. But anyone given a command that was the complete opposite of their personality would have been able to fight it.
In Euphemia's case, even killing others in a genocide wasn't as horrible a thought to her as the thought of even hurting Suzaku. It was the fact that Suzaku himself would have been hurt that snapped her out of it at the end. The command was so against Euphemia's nature that her love is what broke it. It instantly stopped once she realized Suzaku would have been hurt.

Yuri Lowenthal as Suzaku was pretty good two. I believe those two were probably the best in the series. They're both so talented!

nah once lelouch got geass in his right eye those limitations were erased, he no longer required eye contact and there was no more limit to how far he could use it from

@cometslayer56 There are probably a few explanations. A person of strong will seems to partially be able to resist a geass ( like Euphy, she was ordered to kill all japenese but she was able to resist killing Suzaku). Also another explanations is that Charles Zi Britannia is dead so his Geass was removed from her or was weakened.

And the budget for a new dub is often lower then the original dub. Therefore side characters often have less experienced voice actors. And the entire recording has to be done in a faster pace. Which has a bad effect on the end result.

It was possibly a ruse that Nunnally came up with because I'm sure she hadn't realized her sight had come back until she started seeing the light so she closed her eyes again as Lelouch was showing up to make him believe she was still blind but then she could show him that she could see what he was doing
