I've seen people online grow tomatoes from slices of tomatoes (horizontal) with seeds. If we have enough time without rain I want to try it.

This works! Last year, I bought an indeterminant cherry tomato plant that cracked- I took the suckers off and put them in water, (separate containers) then eventually moved them to pots indoors in Miracle Grow indoor potting mix (the indoor mix doesn't have gnats). I now have 8 big tomato plants in my house from that original plant! If you invest in tomato plants and disaster happens, this is a great way to recoup your losses Especially if your plant is indeterminant) With love from Texas :)

Thanks for this video! I need to cut my tomatoes plants back! They went wild and grew into my trees. This plant just came up in my rose garden and I transplanted it last year. It produced a ton of cherry tomatoes that I gave out to friends and family.

I'm glad I heard you say that it is okay to grow in black plastic containers. I was trying to paint my black containers white. I prefer the 10 gallon containers. The larger totes are harder for me to handle.

Loved this explanation. Tried propagating a roma tomato from a video you made last summer, and happy to say, I got larger tomatoes than the mama plant. Sorry to say frost got to all my tomatoes, but I'll be ready this year thanks to you. Happy Gardening!

Hi Robbie, hope I didn’t make a big mistake. My windowsill tomato seedlings, now in single 4” pots jumped up to 7-8.” It’s too cold still to put them outside so I cut 2-3” off the top. Oh, hope they aren’t angry!🙀
I don’t know what to say, I have never cut a young seedling especially a tomato plant. I would’ve let them get leggy and when the time comes bury them deeper, well let’s hope for the best. If not, you can always start them over. Maybe if you left leaves they will bush out? Let me tell you something, I just had some flowers get really leggy like yours, and I buried the stems along with some other plants that were so leggy, and put them in pots, ‘which they tell you to never do’, and they’re doing great. Let me know how they do.

You’re making me think, I may have to do a video on this because I have a special way of doing leggy plants that I haven’t seen other people really do, and it works for me, so let me see what it come out with
Does tomato propagation grow faster than from a tomato seed?
Can't find the traveling tomato seeds anywhere. I did get one pack and none of them were viable. Any clue where I can get some good seeds.
Keep a watch out on our channel, because the ones I have are viable that I grew myself, but I wanna make sure they grow into travelers.
