    Well explained, good job! However should clarify that choosing a shutter speed varies a lot depending on lighting conditions, what you're shooting, and if you're trying to achieve a certain effect.
    I get that it's a short though, it'd be impossible to explain photography in 30 seconds, especially when one thing is almost always dependent on the next and nearly all settings go hand in hand. A disclaimer at the end for the newcomers and inexperienced that it all depends and that there are more steps involved to capturing a good picture would be great is basically what I'm trying to say haha. Other than that, great job. Keep it up! :)

      Thanks for the feedback! I totally agree, I created a longer 2 minute tutorial on my main page with an example about how shutter speed interacts with iso and f stop as well :)

    That difference between 1/15 and 1/500 is crazy, the 1/500 looks so pretty! And the 1/15 looks… 😅

      Right! Huge difference but I will say if you want to experiment getting the slow shutter effect can be kinda fun!

    Can you explain video fps stuff like want does 4k 24fps mean

    • @victor.melchorfilm
      @victor.melchorfilm  2 місяці тому

      @@moepreme Yeah I got you! I’ll be working on my next set of the series later this month! But in short fps stands for “frames per second” generally 24fps is a cinematic frame rate because it looks very natural. 30fps is great for instagram and tiktok, and 60fps if you need to slow your footage down it allows for enough frames for slo mo

    Can a low shutter speed in a bright room damage my camera?

    • @victor.melchorfilm
      @victor.melchorfilm  2 місяці тому +1

      Great question! No it shouldn’t damage your camera sensor, the only thing that I can think of is if you have your camera pointed directly at the sun for long periods of time, regardless of shutter speed. During the Solar eclipse this year I saw some videos online of people frying their sensors because they tried to shoot the eclipse without an eclipse filter. So generally I’d just treat your camera like your eyes and don’t point it directly at the sun or strong light sources for long periods of time

    1/15 is higher than 1/500

    • @victor.melchorfilm
      @victor.melchorfilm  2 місяці тому

      1/15 is a slow shutter speed, 1/500 is a fast shutter speed. I should’ve said slow and fast instead of low and high, sorry about the confusion!
