Great video mate. its was Sams shout out last time that brought me to your channel and man has it grown since! Glad a fellow Brit has gone to rescue another American in need!
That was major favor, man. Nice having such friends...Thanks again on his behalf, even though we've never met. Shall be checking you again, for certain. Be well good man. Bravo
You did an AMAZING job on Sam's car!! You worked your BUTT off on that car...but your technical car knowledge was PRICELESS!! Congrats on getting that thing working!!!
Thank you for showing us this. I once had an Audi that sat for 2 years before I fixed the throttle body. All the seals went bad from just sitting and it was one leak after another. Your skills with Ferrari motors are easily an 11 on a scale from 1-10. I would have called the shop long ago.
Fantastic collaboration! Found your channel through Samcrac and now love watching both channels although I must admit I prefer the technical element of yours over Sam’s. Please keep the videos coming and this over-the-pond video really worked well!
Great work, enjoyed this episode, been doing some work on the 365, new tyres, oil change for engine, diff and gearbox, greased all bushes, now just have to change the rear muffler and tips.
@@Ratarossa Also came over from Sam's channel. Looking forward to the content mate. Zoom H4N is a great mic if you don't have one already. Great for mounting next to a gopro with a 3-cup fat gecko
Good that you replaced all the camshaft seals. I was always told not to retension cambelts, especially one contaminated with oil - did you reuse the 'new' belts?
This was pure genius, Sam is the man for admitting that there is someone out there who understands Ferraris better than him and paying for his flight, and promoting his site. Thank you sir for helping him like this
That was a genuinely cool thing you did for Sam. I really respect your dedication to your passion. I understand your passion, as many other Ferrari owner's would. I learn something new from your vid's every time. I've got a big jar of "Vegemite" and a Kangaroo key ring waiting here for you Scott, just let me know when you're free to fly to Perth. Oh, and that's not Scotland...
Subbed like many new here because of Sam. Cool new car I'll never have channel to follow. You two really work well together and love the sense of humor from both of you.
hi, nice work. the CAM variators had a recall and the only way to tell is a green dot on the exhaust cam or a stamp on the head that says VR, this is a must as I've had a few 360 engine overhauled from that. haven't seen your other videos maybe you've done them.
Just come across this. Nice work. Can you imagine if the timing was out and you hit a valve. Talk about no confidence in you, well until the end. Very good.
Glad to see Teddy went with you. I think I would have taken a bit of fine w&d to clean the seal area of the cam before I fitted the seal. A couple of “C” shaped spacers to stop the seal moving forwards while the cam was being refitted would have helped and could then be removed. There also seems a lot of orange gasket stuff floating around which needs removing. Sorry I seem a bit negative but this is what I see.
Several of us suspected it was timing issues as well - but 15 years and no maintenance? Ouch. Someone just ran it until it broke and collected the insurance.
Not bad! I Guess I will never dare to do stuff like that on my cars. But will instead have to pay between 5-10 000 usd to fix all that. Probably satisfying to make it on your own!!
Hi. I may be mistaken, but to me it looks that the CamShaft seal looks upside down. I know that it was like that on the engine - but, the rubber side should meet the Oil and the Metal side should be at the outside. only logical, what do you think?
Scott you left your Marmite here, guess you'll have to come back to retrieve it!
Look after that marmite until you find another interesting project for us to work on.
Excellent work you two.
Burn the marmite!! It’s the Devil’s work!
@@ianwynneuk thats funny
LOL once you have tried the marmite sam I will send you some vegemite now that is the shiz.
Sam finally called a professional.
Love how you bossed Sam, he saw the master at work. I hope this blows up your channel you deserve it.
So glad you came to Stateside to help Sam. I enjoy both your videos. I consider you the inexpensive “Ferrari Whisperer”
GREAT STUFF 👍🏾👍🏾
New subscriber here, found you on Samcrac. Kudos to both of you for knocking out a difficult project on a short timeline!
Great video mate. its was Sams shout out last time that brought me to your channel and man has it grown since! Glad a fellow Brit has gone to rescue another American in need!
Love you busting sams balls whole time I would of done the same thing lol
Here from Sam! Loved the video man, subbed!
Book Sam a flight to the UK with like ten layovers ..LOL

You did an AMAZING job on Sam's car!! You worked your BUTT off on that car...but your technical car knowledge was PRICELESS!! Congrats on getting that thing working!!!
"The Ferrari Whisperer". This was terrific! Really enjoyed the journey, the problems, the fix. Nice one Ratarossa! You are doing Enzo's work.
Nicely done! Just watched both your channels on this project. Excellent! You are a good man Ratarossa!
Sam brought me here and I feel like your 4500 miles of travel was really worth my sub! Thank you for the fix!🏎🏎🏎
Subscribed after seeing you on Sam’s channel. Awesome work. You have rare footage of Sam actually turning a wrench 😂

Great packing Scott - and hope you enjoyed working on a neglected 360 - and the flight schedule Sam had you on - great content 👍😎

Nice of you to help Sam, hats off to you flying all the way to the US.👍
Can relate to Sam's gait and demeanor on that final day - the "god damn this job's been kicking my ass" look
100%
Been there, done that, got the shirt...
@@69Dartman haha yup!...on far less difficult jobs than this in my case at least
I come from Sams channel too, you got a new subscriber, good job!
Good that you replaced all the camshaft seals. I was always told not to retension cambelts, especially one contaminated with oil - did you reuse the 'new' belts?
great video and team work! good to see passionate blokes doing their thing! thanks for sharing guys!

I have a cousin who lives in Perth Aus, I might just take you up on that one day sir !!
@@Ratarossa Oh yeah, I forgot about the 1/24 scale model of the Ratarossa I had made years ago...it's yours as well.
I have zero plans of ever owning a Ferrari, but I dig your style. Cheers!
Great Job! Sam was in a tough spot. On behalf of the fans of both of you, we thank you.
Cheers
Love watching these subs grow! Been here since about 2k.
thanks buddy
Subbed like many new here because of Sam. Cool new car I'll never have channel to follow. You two really work well together and love the sense of humor from both of you.

Saw Sam's vid an hour ago... His popped up first. Well done!
Samcrac made me subscribe, love your work!
Found your channel through Samcrac - SUBSCRIBED!
Great to see you guys working together
Subscribed. Living life through your vids.
Great work Scott 👍
Excellent work! Liked and subscribed.
Thank you for helping Sam. New sub...
Sam has cured me of any desire for an Italian exotic. I can't afford their repair and maintenance, and flying some expert from across the pond.👍
Scott you are the man too sort out sam,s motor..Did Sam say he wants too come over too give you a hand lol
You sir are an amazing friend!
Congrats on 24K+ subs. It seems like it was just yesterday when I first heard about your channel from Sam Crac.
So glad you sorted it. Really entertaining
You guys would be a comedy team hit on the T.V. Discovery Channel and S.E.M.A.! Subbed, Scott's Ratarossa Channel...
nice to see the other side of the videos :) - what happened with the sound? levels all over the place, bad mic on one of the cameras?
Great video. So I'm thinking overfilling the dry sump with oil and then running it popped the cam shaft seals out? Expensive and easy mistake to make.
Just come across this. Nice work. Can you imagine if the timing was out and you hit a valve. Talk about no confidence in you, well until the end. Very good.
Bravo, Scott! Motoring's hero of the year.
I subbed because of your great help!
Do you think that when Samcrac overfilled the oil, and causing high oil pressure dislodging those oil seals causing the leaks?
Again thats another possibility
Great episode!!
Subbed your channel , got to have a sense of humor to work on high end cars ( from my experience ) great job !
Hey! The sound is really good on this, good stuff!

Agreed-even though it's mostly Ferrari content... Scott is a good man.
Samcrac and his Farm Boy Ferrari shop. Gettin a little dignification from across the pond.
Great work on Samcracs car. That thing needed rescuing.
Finally I get to use the thumbs up, because of the normal speaking volume and not the "I'm filming in a wind tunnel voice" Good job
Well done and congratulations!
great work, amazing!
You're a good man Scott! I subbed from Sam Crack. Nice work!
Sam owes you big time!
Thanks for helping Ol'Samcrac he finally got in over his head and had to call in a PROFESSIONAL! Lmao

Nice to see the brits helping the yanks out with a sick Italian 🇬🇧🍻👍
Wow I don't know if swimming with a great white shark or taking apart a Ferrari engine is worse..Well done.
Good work lad, about time his 360 got a bit of assistance.....
