you can absolutely use your hands like Karasu does. As long as you aren't shoving guys to the floor, using hands to gauge distance and to limit how close opponents can get to him its clean.

Because the year an anime comes has nothing to do with quality. This is 2d animation, it doesn't get better with time like 3d graphics. Some of the best animation ever can be found in Disney movies from the 1940s and 50s.
I swear this would have been considered a decent episode 3 years ago, especially for a not important episode from a sports anime, why would they spend resources this early?. They cut corners in a smart way and it did not bother me watching it at all, I enjoyed the episode. Haikyu S4 had way worse animation on episodes that were important and people did not spam their opinion about it like they do with blue lock. I really dont see how this is terrible.
hey i think you miss that isagi said that rin and shidou playstyle is diifernt as in shidou was just acting on instinc and once he has his eyes set on something he goes for it and ren you know just plays the game at a higher logical lvl of postionig him self where the ball is gonna be i agree it was ren ball but that does happen in sport when two people think the balls for them and both go for it or dont and freez for a sec like deer and stare at each other
Im so mad they havent animated the match where Shidou eliminated Kunigami, thats the match that shows the insane playstyle of Shidou
They might just move it up as a backstory (hopefully)
