I've been woodworking since the age of 10 when my grampa taught me how to use handtools as well as running his Watkins machines from the 1930s and 1940s. All cast iron, with sim0le components that are easy to maintain. But like anyone else, I keep integrating new items to the shop as well as growing my tool collection. And I do use them daily, so they are not door stops. You sir keep my mind going and I just love watching you create something for your shop in which 99.9% are brilliant and always well thought out. Your very talented, with an interesting & creative mind!!
I like this new format of video. You provided a demonstration of your tool prior to build. The construction portion made much more sense. I often found myself jumping to the end of your videos to make sense of the construction.
Very nice work! I would glue some rubbersole on the surportingblocks in order to get a better grib. It cood be like something like the rupperpad from grrrrrr ripper. Just a thourght.👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Brilliant Jig! is there anyway I can buy one complete, we have the same bandsaw at the brain rehabilitation centre and this would make it safer for the members to us the bandsaw.
Thank you for the great project, I would like to replicate it. Do you have a plan with metric or inch dimensions? Maybe you can buy the plan from you. Best regards from Daniel from Oberhausen.
Really great video. I live on an orchard where I have many old logs that would be perfect for projects. The issue is that I am trying to come up with a solution for milling those logs that are around 2'-4' long and about 14" round on the bandsaw. You make the best jigs I have see out there and would enjoy seeing how you would create a jig that would securely hold the piece while also providing the most accurate cut possible.
Perspicacity at its finest! Love all the features and particularly your blade Quality on the band saw...and of course the beautiful spalted wood (Maple?) I am curious how you set your Origin for the engraving of the scales...centerline of the blade teeth (thickness)?? Thanks for the great show and tell and always superb videography! ~PJ
thank you The log is a Korean maple tree. I do woodworking but its saw blades use metal saw blades. I always cut wood with it. It cuts very well. The zero point is set to the thickness of the saw blade. That way there is less error and the dimensions are marked on both sides. I did a few tests and got it in place.

I love this. I have the same bandsaw - and I got it for woodturning!
Excellent! You have figured it out how to transform your ideas in reality. Thanks for sharing
Brilliant jig! You are one of the most innovative jig builders on youtube. Thanks for sharing.
Great band saw sleds and awesome use of the laser to engrave "measuring tape" directly on the sled.
Yet another great jig. My list of jigs is growing that I want to make that you have introduced to us. You will keep me busy. Great job Tak
thank you. I will continue to be busy too. I want to make better things.
Like another commentor said, you are one of the best jig builders on UA-cam, for sure! I'd love a full tour of your shop!
Thank you for your nice comments.
Yet another fantastic multi-purpose jig ... now all I need is a bandsaw to put it on 👍
Really like how you think your jigs through..
Very fresh and creative! 👍
this is a great idea. A practical and useful sled. Congratulations.
Not gonna lie, I kinda love this. It adds so much versatility to the band saw. Well done! 😁

All right. I will edit and show the video of the material that suits this format like this next time. Thank you.

So sophisticated.. ...maybe to much
Great ideas.
Hey. Mega. Respekt. LG von Tommy 😊🙋♂️⚒👍

yeah that's a good idea thank you
Yeah but what if you want to cut bevel the length of a piece of wood?
Another jig is needed to cut the bevel angle. I'll have to make it. thank you
👍👍👍

Do you sell the jigs or the plans to build these?
No, I cannot create a plan. So it's not for sale.
this video shows me that not much can beat a well setup bandsaw! that thing will do anything! great video thank you for uploading!
looks nice but i cant read the hand signals

@@carpentak Thank You for the answers. Metal cutting blade...interesting!
The feature I need from this is the clamps that run along the rails, but I can't see how that's done here.
What brand of band saw are you using?
Laguna 14"
Great jig concept. I’m guessing that blade drift must be totally non-existent for this to function.
Will you sell the plans?
I do not sell plans. I can't create a plan.
No plan ?
No plan.
Brilliant, just brilliant
작고 저렴한 기계를 사용하니 날이 자꾸 끊어지네요;;
장력 조절 같은 사용법을 모르니 계속 끊어집니다;;
This is the Laguna Band Saw 14/12LT.
If you've ever asked for a laser machine, it's the ORTUR LM3
Thank you very much
Love you work

Are there plans of your amazing saw fence please
I can't make a plan. There are no plans. There are only videos.
