You know, I just thought of a secondary direction for how this could be handled. This is probably the best for hitting all the abilities Trunks has, but I could also see an Aasimar Vengeance Paladin fitting well for Future Trunks. Thematically, the vengeance Paladin feels very appropriate for Trunk’s goal in the android saga. He’s trying to kill the Androids for the sake of saving his future and avenging all the lives lost to them. Along with the sword wielding it does give the vibe of a paladin’s oath. If you were going for narrative parallels instead of trying to do everything Trunks does mechanically, I think this would be a fun way to do it.

I would get some wizard levels in there. As much as I love Eldritch Knight, it's kind of limited in terms of making a Saiyan. I would recommend Abjuration, war magic, or a scribes wizard. The reason i say scribes is so you can change your spell damage to radiant
I agree. If you still want to focus on punching and blasting, I'd probably only go up to lvl 11 to get two attacks and a cantrip on your turn, then I'd take the other 9 in wizard.
Instead of Tough, I'd have gone with Resilient (Wis) so the saving throw wasn't a negative. Only so many uses of Indomitable, and Wisdom saving throws are super important. Unfortunately, that would have made his Wisdom only a 9, but that's about as good as it'd get for this build. I like how you always prioritise staying true to the character over getting the strongest build possible. This does seem just like Trunks! Once again, I suggest Nezuko Kamado for your next anime build 😺
