    Yeah I have the exact replica in Saudi 18 k pure gold for $600 with 12 GM of gold. I went to Cartier and made the comparison and it’s looks exactly the same except the Cartier is way heavier and thicker prob 36 gm but you have to pay more than $7K or more. I don’t take it off I work in hospital as a nurse and I would bang it constantly but I don’t feel bad bec it’s not brand name like Cartier but it’s pure 18k gold and I got it great price.

    cartier did it to themselves. 8k and (only further with continuous price increases) is just not justified anymore. they should’ve stayed in the 3,4,5k price tag and that’s WITH -paying for the brand name etc. - they have FAR out priced themselves and the super wealthy clients already have these bracelets! they’re over it! they spend their money on very rare pieces. not some commonplace item as this. it’s a shame, bc their brand history is so rich and it is very elegant..but it still has limits.

    Cartier 100% authenticates. They will not accept any item for service before doing so and local boutiques will assist with providing valuation for insurance purposes. You should have no issue if you have a good relationship as an established customer with any of their SAs . What Cartier does NOT do is waste the time of their SAs authenticating second hand ‘grey-market’ purchases from an unauthorized third party.

  • @potatosaladforten
    @potatosaladforten Рік тому +3

    Uhm, actually, their resale value is still up there. I work for a marketing company and one of our clients resell luxury items. Depending on the condition (minimal signs of wear) the resale price is still a few thousand dollars per piece. And it costs more when you can prove that it used to be owned by a celebrity. So, if you ever get sick of them, secondary luxury resale markets like The Real Real will still buy them from you for a decent price. HOWEVER, if you don’t care about authenticity and just want a replica (I personally love the Love collection’s simple design) buy real 18k gold pieces made from Hong Kong gold. Their replica is 99.9% similar. The pieces made from 18k Saudi gold are okay but side by side to the real bracelet, there’s a significant difference in quality.

    Cartier may not know the difference but the people frontin’ in fakes know and that’s all that matters. People who pay the real money are getting more than just a bracelet, they are getting an experience, and also the services that come with the item. Plus, none of the luxury retailers are going to take time to authenticate your swap meet fakes. That’s not their job. If you want the real thing, buy it from the store. If you’re happy with a fake, that’s fine, but no need to drag the real store or their value into it.

    Calling a Love bracelet worthless is wild. If she sells them, she’ll make her money back, and maybe even a profit. Love bracelets, along with most luxury items, go up in price at least once a year. Let’s say someone bought theirs 10 years ago, and they decide to sell it now, they will make a profit, unless they completely ruined their bracelet. However, I do agree that the many fakes have tarnished the Love’s reputation. As much as I like the bracelet, I won’t get one because of that reason, and I’m sure many people feel the same way.

      @@bigdome9322 a lot of people are buying the bracelet, from Cartier and trusted resellers as well. The source of this video is a random tweet. Some of the people showing the fakes that are “so good” are showing stainless steel. Any pawn shop can determine that is worthless, and Cartier wouldn’t waste their time on that. Also, places that buy gold offer more for Cartier, Tiffany’s and so on because their gold is high quality, so even melted down, it has value. To me that tweet seems like someone bought a fake one and is making stuff up to convince herself that it’s just as good as the real thing.

      @@mmm555m Yes, in some cases it definitely does. For example, a small JUC bracelet was C$4200 in December 2022. Now that same bracelet is C$4500. So prices go up quite a bit annually. A Love bracelet was $3000 around 2006, now the same bracelet costs $6900. Anyone who got theirs back then, took care of it and held on to packaging and certificates could easily sell it for around $5000, so they’d make a profit.

    Cartier is just overly overpriced because of their name. They triple charge for gold and 10x for melee diamonds

    Well…hers might be worth more at auction because they’re Kylie Jenners’ Cartier bracelets. Also, she could wait for them to trend again. Wouldn’t be my investment strategy but this is a narrow view.

    If you wear the fake ones, you’re a laughing stock, and don’t call it “your Cartier love bracelet” when it’s a fake, like…. Yourself.

    Cartier Love bracelets will always be in style. People but buy fakes for a reason. N it will continue to be a sign of having money just like a Birkin bag.
