Fished Dale Hollow last Thursday then fished Lake Cumberland Sunday through Wednesday , tough tough tough, did catch a 3 and a half smallie on DH and a 4lb smallie on Lake Cumberland but this has been the toughest fishing I've seen during the fall transition in three years , love your content, keep up the good work ....... BTW some buddies that fished with us on LC slayed some huge smallies striper fishing with planer boards in 70' of water, lakes are almost mirror images and close so they might be at 70' at DH too
Thank you! And MAN, That is deep deep... crazy, yeah I've been telling people if you can manage a couple decent fish a trip you're doing pretty good right now. Haha
LOL.. I caught a huge catfish on a RK crawler this spring down there and it jacked my line up from the slime. A big smallie would've jumped. Did you guys stay up in Mitchell creek the whole time? I'm planning on coming down next weekend.
I'm looking for tips too 😂 it's been tough, I really haven't fished Dale Hollow this time of the year. I started fishing Dale Hollow last year around the end of December... seems like people are catching them shallow, deep, rock, grass. They're just scattered. I'm gonna be fishing it pretty heavy for the next several months though so hopefully I can shed some light on how it's fishing!
Dude I love your videos bro lol comin down to dale hollow this weekend for couple days. Came down there few months ago and spent a week not catching a damn thing. Really hoping it will be different this weekend. Let me know if you have any tips
@@reidangling thanks for the response my friend. If you dont mind me asking. Is there a section of the lake that you think I should concentrate more of my time?
I’m kind of new to the Gallatin area and I have been fishing OH and Cordell Hull. I’m not overly impressed with OH just because of the big boats and the general traffic. However, I am getting out their more often this Fall. I want to tell you that I have watched 20+ of your videos and I wanted tell you I have picked up some good pointers that have helped me put fish in the boat...Thank you! I plan to hit Dale Hollow next weekend. I never been that lake. Can you tell me where to put that has a good ramp?
Man thank you so much! Welcome to the area, I live in between Gallatin and Hendersonville. I have spent a ton of time on OH but I hate fishing it haha put in at Pleasant Grove Rec Area!
@@reidangling Thank you for the info on where to put in on DH. I also live in Gallatin right on the border of Gallatin and Hendersville at Big Station Camp and Long Hollow. I have found that if I put in by Flippers and go south the lake is more enjoyable. It’s so convenient to my home I will have to put in the time to learn the lake and grow to like it. I hit Cordell Hull last Saturday afternoon and boated 6 bass and lost 3 by the boat. We had a great time. Five came on a Missile quiver in baby bass color. Go figure 😁. My fishing buddy got one on a jerk bait. I offered to hook him up with a quiver but he declined… Too bad for him. Also I am traveling on business this week so while driving today I listen to several of your videos to pass the time. Thanks again for your excellent videos.
“Dude”...🤣 we are neighbors. I plan to do a lot of cool weather fishing this year so we will have to get together and put a few in the boat. I have a 17’ Championship with a 135 Optimax that fishes nicely. If you like shoot me an email at mikerunns@gmail.com. I work from home when I’m not traveling and I make time to fish.
@@christopherjames9843 lol yeah some people in TN have it and some don't... kinda weird, my mom has a thick accent but my dad doesn't. One of my brothers has an accent, the other doesn't 😂

Live bait on LC... LC is a different style lake than DH with most areas in LC are over 100 ft deep.
Awesome video
Appreciate it man!
Thanks
Recently moved to the area in the last couple of years I jave fished center hill but not Dale hollow any suggestions
What creek is that slow tapering bluff in if you don’t mind sharing.

Another great video. Keep it up
Thank ya sir!
Looking to head down to the hollow in a few weeks
You'll be coming at a good time!

Nah, we fished up towards Willow Grove and then went back down towards the dam. We didn't really fish in Mitchell!
And I was hoping it was a smallmouth so fat it couldn't get out of the water 🤣
Thinking of heading down here in a couple weeks! Any tips on dale hollow mid November?

Tyler, are you from TN? You don't have any southern accent.
I have lived here my whole life! I lived in Colorado for a couple years but I was born in Nashville, raised in Hendersonville, TN.
