- Went out fishing with Tyler from ReidAngling in late February on Dale Hollow Lake in Tennessee. Was able to catch by far the biggest smallie i had ever caught. It was 20 1/2 inches and 4.65 lbs.

Good ol dale hollow.. grew up and used to build houses round star point.. been a few years since I've been back down there.. good ol memories with my pops.. nothing like a pound of bologna, loaf of bread, a six pack of cold cokes in the bottle, and some good ol cheese balls. Man, that food you texted about sure sounds mighty good right now! Ain't nothin' like a Bologna sandwich, with just a touch of Mayonnaise, some Cheetos or some Popcorn, and a can of Coca-Cola, or at the very least, some good ol' sweet tea! The simplest pleasures are the best pleasures!

Way to go !!! great smallmouth , my PB was several years ago it was a 5 lbs. smallmouth in creek Houston County , TN. using a Bass magnet crank bait on my ultra light . Again way to go !!!!

My dad used to make me get up at 5 am to go fishing with him. Didn’t like it very much at the time but now that he’s gone, I treasure those memories more than any other moments in my life. I still fish today but the earliest I get up is around 7:30 am. What I would give to hear him wake me up at 5 again.
That was some nice smallmouth. That is my favorite species of bass to catch. They just fight so hard and that makes it so much fun. 👊👍

We throw those nikko hellgrammites and smallies love them for sure! Plus they are so durable, Jason caught 75 fish on the same hellgrammite last year so you get your money's worth. Don't sleep on the megabass hazedong shad swimbaits we never leave home without them. Nice video from BFG

Ah, you are in MY old stomping ground. Now. Used to go to Wisdom's Doc and then also the State Dock in Kentucky. Fatherinlaw still has a house, icecream store and a boat storage at the State Dock. Love that place.. Sweet fish on that Helgramite. Yep everybit of 2 1/2 Ah, just reading that you went in from TN. cool... Super Nice small mouth too.

Smallmouth...Awesome fish. They are beautiful fish and fight like crazy. They love tubes and minnow baits on drop shot rigs.

I used to fish a reservoir that looked a lot like that when I had my boat. It had the most wonderful drop-offs and I would catch a variety of fish including walleye, grub jigs and trolling jerk baits were just two ways I would like to fish. Wow, your dog is having a blast!

@@CreekFishingAdventures Have you heard of the Georgia bass slam? Georgia has 10 species of black bass and if you catch 5 of them the GA dnr will give you a certificate for completing the slam. Some of the species are isolated to a few creeks and that's the only place in the world to find them. It might be an awesome adventure for your channel.

I get up at 4 am to beat the people to the boat ramp. I also get back to the ramp late so I don't have to fight with people to trailer my boat. That is also why I like to fish during the week as opposed to the weekend. Boat ramps where I live are like road rage or even worse.

The dogy seems to be a sushi fan, its a fishermans dog, so thats ok! :o) Good thing is, that you still enjoy fishing in a small creek and catching some bluegill. A lot of YT channels only rely on catching the big ones, you take care on enjoying to be out fishing in gods nature. Thats very (!!!) protestantic for me and I absolutely love it! Greets from germany

@@CreekFishingAdventures it was 20 inches long but so fat. Filled with eggs before the spawn. I caught it on Cherokee lake in 2005. Wish I had a cam back then no photos except for one at the marina there in German Creek. Not sure if it's still up lol
Have you ever try Float Fly technique when fishing Dale Hollow Lake in the winter? Great way to catch smallmouth
Brian Gaskin my great uncle Charlie is the one who started float n fly, when he passed away in 96 his brother Eddie took it over and dialed it in. I have had some extremely good days on south holston with it

That is the first time I have seen where it says shall not perish I've always seen it as should not perish. That's 2 different meanings. I mean like the devil believes his demon's believe shit Hitler believed he thought he was doing the Father's work. In the original Greek should not perish is one one word y"all should look it up. It means for you to loose hope this helps

I see you almost always use the same rod and reel whether lake fishing or creek fishing with the yellow line. I may have missed it in previous videos but could you tell tell us what equipment you have the most success with?

Excellent Bronze Bomber.. I know you have some serious luck with a helgramite but I'm wondering if it'd be as effective up here in the north.. I mean, is the helgramite that much more prevalent in the south that fish are more sue to seeing it there?? I don't believe I've ever seen the fly it creates (Dobsonfly) up here so I'm wondering how use are the fish up north to seeing that and if it'll be effective.. I can tell you I'm going to try one for sure..

Was there a world record small mouth bass caught at Dale Hollow? I know there was a book written by a famous fisherman named Billy Westmoreland called Old Bronzed Back about small . mouth fishing. It bet it's in The Public Library.
