I really like the clean look after the removal. The non-matching purple on the bar end cap would bother me, so I'd be tempted to paint it black. Great video. Thanks for posting!
I actually bought all the parts to use multiple rings on my motor including a new derailleur and a spacer (necessary to get the derailleur to where it would go out far enough to reach the outer ring, but decided to just remove the original derailleur and shifter. It saved a lot of aggravation. Lol. I do not miss the extra gearing. And I’m heavier than you and can get over 52 miles on a battery on moderately hilly terrain.
@@TimsTrikeTrips hey Tim…hope you are well. You helped us all so much last year with Covid chaos. Been missing your videos. They were a breath of fresh air every few days while we were shut down. Stay well. Mark
Always good to simply life! Rode Legacy trail yesterday on our way from Dayton to Cumberland Lake with new Trikes my wife and I purchased. Hers the 559 and mine the Dumont. Trail is much more hilly than what your videos really show but a good workout nonetheless! Keep up the postings as we really enjoy your pictures, music and comments!
It’s good you can do this on your own. July 27th marks 4 months since ordering my trike and I can’t wait any longer.
I've heard the wait times have gotten a lot worse. I hope you get it soon!
@@TheGiantTriker I know I’ve heard that too. Gonna be stressing if I go into 2022 with no trike

Yeah I get about 50 miles with hills as well. :)
I also bought a second chainring with my E-assist kit. Never needed it (yet).
Good to know Tim! :) Are we going to see some more videos from your rides soon?
@@TheGiantTriker I hope so. It's been too long eh!? 🤔

I'm glad you got to enjoy the trail. I rode it two days ago so we missed each other by a day. :)
Looks a lot less cluttered up front now. Good job 👍
I’m curious: where’s the best place to park if I’m coming from the London, Ky area?
Thanks.
For the Legacy Trail? There's plenty of parking in Coldstream Park on McGrathiana Parkway. The trailhead on Ironworks Pike is nice too.
