I just searched for "whatever happened to WWP" and this popped up. I was wondering. I'm a "wounded warrior" myself and around 10 years ago they sent me a couple hats and license plate frame. After that it was relegated to emails asking if I'd sign up for events in some far-off city since my area is too podunk to mess with. Then I found out signing up doesn't guarantee a spot and I guess since my wounds weren't "good'nuff" I couldn't get in anyways. Hopefully there are some wounded warriors out there that actually got some valuable service from all that cash.
I was wounded in 2002 in the very beginning in Afghanistan. Lately I’ve heard a lot of people give wounded warrior program a lot of grief. I can tell you as a 100% service connected permanent and total disabled veteran and having over 30 surgeries. When I go to the VA and that person says he would you like to come fish on a private river owned by the government and nobody can touch or would you like to go on a trip to the mountains and try and ski or try and play in the snow. No other organization is offering those experiences on a constant basis. He wanted warrior program is one of the best organizations as a disabled veteran I’ve ever been a part of. The tunnels to tower project is a good one too but I’ve never been at the VA in a tunnel did tower representative approach me and ask if I wanna takeoff for a week or if my family needs a break in and if that we need to takeoff for a week. Thank you for everything you do for what we have sacrificed
why is having occassional fishing trips or skiing trips better than taking care of people financially, medically and mentally?????? That makes absolutely no sense to me....
Why not tell these men they fought killed and got injured over lies.... What about hundreds of thousands of innocent women and children in Afghanistan and Iraq? Is there a charity for them? Depleted uranium is still causing birth defects in Iraq

They should get the money from who sent them to get wounded in the first place instead of milking innocent American in a mind trick to make you feel sorry!!!
The CEO was paying himself 480.000 dollars a year while the president of the United States earns four hundred thousand what a scam. Google the list of highest paid employees and see the obscene salaries they're making. With job titles that are made up.
Yup the CEO and top brass of the Goodwill are shady af they received billions they pay %0 of their sale items and receive donations from many contributors and customers
as I started looking into the ratings of charitable organizations I also find one that I've been giving to for some time, Paralyzed Veterans of America also has a poor rating. this is messed up
because of how little they actually give to veterans, they do do workk but not nearly at the scope they claim too, nor what they should based on the donations coming in.
I knew something was shady about this charity. When I saw these commercials I couldn't help but wonder "WHAT KIND OF COUNTRY DO WE LIVE IN, THAT THE PEOPLE WHO WENT AND RISKED THEIR LIVES OR INJURED THEMSELVES FOR, HAVE TO HAVE CHARITIES TAKE CARE OF THEIR NEEDS?" THAT DOESN'T SOUND LIKE TOO GREAT OF A COUNTRY TO ME. I bet it's some greedy conservatives running this charity.
Wait I Know, Don't tell me; ...If one would bring this to their attention, they would just say..."Save the Whales Somewhere Else!"...`Correct! "Greed." 😥

The only veterans who deserve anything are former draftees and the draft hasn’t been used since Vietnam Every soldier in the war in the Middle East chose to join the service and deserve nothing! I have former draftees in my family and there benefits and med care are abissmal , but they are the only ones who deserve any help Shame on anyone who chose to join the service then expect special treatment or help with anything in life!
I stopped donating to WW after the scandal, I know the CEO's were fired but can anyone confirm this Foundation has straightened itself out?
Nah ww project is a ponzi scheme

@@REISM1 I was gonna say the same thing

I wouldn't give a cent to any of the major charities. From Goodwill to United Way, they've all been caught.
Yup the CEO and top brass of the Goodwill are shady af they received billions they pay %0 of their sale items and receive donations from many contributors and customers
Caught !!
Their current CEO is earning about $500,000 a year....Totally ridiculous.
Not surprised, they sure got the big bucks for advertising..
They were busted spending 500,000 every two weeks on conferences. 26 million a year.
SMH People can be so greedy. Still a good cause though.
Good cause? All money should go to our hereos

I find this whole thing is appalling I personally think that the American government needs to look after their wounded soldiers not the people
What happened to the rest of it?
Check out what the CEOs make today. It’s disgusting. Half a million to just one.
Scamed again,dam!
I'm pretty sure the money was meant for making the cripples feel better about themselves. Spending lavishly is how you do it.
+Ethereality you must have an appreciation for historical news stories.
Yes please Reginald Lamont Payne ceo coo 🙏 Now please
Should I still donate? I so badly want to help wounded warriors 😢

Lieutenant Dan you got new legs
This is all charities
Charities are these ceo's pockets as they get rich from it. They don't help other people that need it. It is all about them.
@@thespaceram2879 it's nothing but a big scam to get your money
