And this was not too long before he checked himself into rehab so the stresses of recording and touring would have been getting to him yet still managed to belt out this song.. incredible singer James Hetfield is, hopefully he can keep it going because with every live performance, the world gets a treat in my opinion 💪💪💪

You remember the slow motion when the batteries of the walkman starting to run out? 😛 and the manual rewind with a pencil, to save power? I copied that cassettes, and still keep the tapes. I never forget the feeling when "blackened" started to sound, with the dirty sound of the dozens of copies from the original disc.
The years fly, but Metallica remains. And the old shirts and patches too. And off course, the tapes.

His vocals are literally NOTHING like they were when they recorded that album. The touring of the black album did its damage to hetfield's vocals. He stopped doing/lost his growl. Live after 1993 or so was more like this. The early vocals were amazing.

Well, they are the ONLY 2 original members left in the band. Probably doesn't help that rockers like Eddie Van Halen used to turn his back to the camera so people couldn't take his ideas and copy his sound.

@@douweodh4146 well not to me, I can keep a good tempo myself but I dont hear when he actually messes up, it seems to be very subtle. I heard like 1 or 2 times where he sped up just a tiny bit, and im not even sure he did. Could you like give me a particular moment in this vid where he did?
He was off tempo all thru out the song almost haha but it wasnt horrible. That's the beauty of LIVE music
