Hey silver picker, thanks for posting this video. It’s a great tool for collectors to test their grading skills. I was within 1 grade of all your coins with the exception of the MS65 $2.50 and actually nailed 2 of them. The XF40 and one of the coins that graded AU55. So that made me feel pretty good! Keep it up with the great content.
Fantastic submission. Going 8 for 8 is tough. I've been submitting with PCGS for 3 years now and I've yet to pull that off! I primarily submit Constitutional silver, but my 1 gold piece I sent in got a MS68 Top Pop! 1945 2.5 Centavos, but still a Top Pop Gold piece!
Looking good Max. You are right to say that we are always learning something in the hobby. I've been collecting for 35 years now and I definitely learn something new everyday.. Just the other day I learned that $1.40 face value of 90% silver is an ounce. Any denomination of quarters, dimes, and halves. Who knew, I didn't.
You’re right but he might can find the right buyer maybe somebody looking to complete a set and get that price. But for me I use EBay for the market price guide. I sale there so it makes sense for me
He might get close to that price if he finds a buyer that is looking to complete a set. I have been in the Coin businesses since the summer of 65. Those buyers are out there.
Thank you so much for your time. I have never sent a coin off to be graded. Ive been buying from the mint and have quite a few I could send off. Hopefully, I'll do so after watching this video, it might be profitable!
Some awesome submissions and coins buddy. Do you gave to have a business selling coins to be grading price around $38? I had a change to my life/work and I'm trying to get a wider variety of stuff to start selling coins and increasing my stack and would love to do this exact venture. Any advice would be VERY much appreciated
@@Silverpicker oh shit thats awesome man. So if getting that membership you'd want to do it multiple times throughout the year to make it worth it? It's awesome your coins graded so great. Congrats man.
Nice Video and congrats on being 8 for 8 with nearly $4,500 profit on those amazing coins! Also, I was wondering, I have two extremely rare coins, a 1907 $20 Saint-Gaudens certified by PCGS in MS66+ and a 1923 Peace Dollar certified also by PCGS in MS67+, would you be interested in buying one or both of them?
I know you weren't asking me but pcgs graded coins tend to sell for a little more than ngc graded coins ..I've heard they are ( pcgs) more conservative in their grading , so I've read and heard from alot of these guys on youtube.hope that helps
I'll admit I'm not the most knowledgeable about coins but I think you should have the 1908 $10 indian regraded, I think it should have been between au58 and ms61. Also I think there may be some type of error on the w on the reverse although it might be damage it seems odd it would only affect the first leg of the letter, btw I love your videos, I've learned a lot and they're very enjoyable. Thank you❤
Hey, I’m new to collecting coins and I’m curious about how you found out the profit. Now I think I see how you did your math. Correct me if I’m wrong but you took the raw value, guessing that’s how much the coin costed you plus the grading cost and added it together to see the total value. After getting it graded I don’t know how you found out the value of the specific coin. But you took the value of the coin (graded) and subtracted how much you spent to get a profit amount. I’m on the PCGS XF40 right now so this is where I’m learning to do the math of the coins. Am I correct? Also how do you ever find out what that specific coin is worth after grading? 16 btw so hopefully this is a good start for me at learning. Just found out your channel about 1 hour ago been watching the vids to learn.
How does one send coins into PCGS ? OR where to find shipping instructions. I've got a lot of 10 I'd like to have graded. I know it sounds odd but for a first timer it would be reassuring.
@@JamesStripling-f7d There is a coin shop about 30 minutes from here. I live in small town Wisconsin where there's 3 bars 1 post office and a credit union. That info really helped..thanks !
Who determines those values who said you're going to paid $400.00 for is worth $3000.00? Just curious I mean after all it's just a quarter ounce of gold right .?
WOW bro.. you nailed this one.. awesome coins !!! Think there a little low on a few of them. but,, Would love to own any of them.. sure I never will .. 😢
Quick question! How much did it cost you to submit each one and or all 8 coins to PCGS company and how long did it take to get back to you? Just curious!🧐💯
Nice Video, just find the profit counter quite misleading, as it seems like you use list values there, but if you look at items that actually sold, most of the coins shown here are worth roughly half of what you are stating and it is not profit until the coin is actually sold.
Glad you are happy. You know you don't make money because you grade them, you made money because you bought great coins from someone who didn't know what they are worth.
Nice results for sure! Maybe consider consigning the ones you want to sell to either Mike Mezak or Rick Tomaska to sell overpriced to collectors who like paying too much! 😂
6:51 love that genuine reaction
XD omg i just watched that. that "holy *redacted* OMGGGG XDDD
Man, I don’t know how PCGS is gonna recover from that annihilation at 0:56
😂
Indeed!
They are making a killing but I get the joke

Not the dollar coin.
@@faro1875 o. Ok. See, I'm still learning even after 35 years. Much appreciated.
One problem is the coin price guide for PCGS and NGC on their websights is high retail and most of the time hard to get that price.
Totally agree, but I had to use something for pricing
You’re right but he might can find the right buyer maybe somebody looking to complete a set and get that price. But for me I use EBay for the market price guide. I sale there so it makes sense for me
Congratulations on the ms 61
Awesome video nice gold coins thanks for sharing silver picker
I have a 1oz 2020 W Gold Eagle. There were less than 6,700 minted. 80% are coming back as MS70s.
Man, they are strict.
Truly I sent in a couple coins and one that I got back got au graffiti from a lil scratch
Yep, but the MS65 makes up for it mostly 😁
@@SilverpickerI guessed a ms62 for that one
They are super strict for sure but man what a score on that 65 nice job. I collect slab Morgan’s and Indian head cents
Nice work on the $2.50 in a 65! Hope you get a cac sticker on it to justify that $3,000 price tag else it's about a $1,500 coin. Gorgeous piece!
I’ve never submitted anything to CAC. Not a bad idea though

Congrats. Looking forward to sending in my first batch for grading soon.
Nice! Good luck!!

Beautiful collection. Would be hard for me to let any of them go being a gold and silver guy😂
Very nice Gold Coins, love the grade's, thanks for sharing
Congratulations you call that one. ms 63 i said ms 64…👏👍🇺🇸
Bro, I legit cheered out loud when you hit that MS65 on the 1925 Indian. Right on!
@6:56 it went from a 25 d to a 24d !! LOL Might want to fix that. Beautiful coin though! JJ
They'll slab non graded coins. But it will be markers "non gradable genuine" on the back label

Each year you get 8 "free" vouchers for your platinum membership of $250. There was an added charge of $56, so pro-rated, the 8 grades were $38 each

I traded for them with a Patreon patron

What a handsome collection of gold coins. Congrats on the grades!
That 1925 Indian gold coin is what they call incuse, very difficult for the mint to make.
Big Congrats my Friend!!!
Congrats! Those are some amazing finds. I can't wait for the day that I get a graded coin worth $3,000.
Hi, love you content! But I see lots of people send coins recently to PCGS instead of NGC. Is PCGS better or easier?
It is generally more reputable and add more value than NGC, but will also be more harsh with grades.

Why am I not impressed? Oh, I have everything I ever wanted 😂😂!

Good for you buddy. 👍
Awesome on the '25D.
How does someone find the values of something like this? Like a website? Or just general knowledge?
I used the values given by PCGS but admittedly that means they’re a bit inflated

When they grade do they take photos of each coin?
Yes, if you pay for it

Actually it’s still profit
It’s not intended to be exact. It’s a guideline based on the only “objective” measure out there, which is the
Pcgs price guide

Amen lol!
unfortunately the PCGS prices on gold are WAY out of reasonable.
If they were real I'd have millions in gold coins
I agrée they’re inflated but they’re not that far off.
PSA is going in to Coin grading near end of next year
They will be grading the salada coins. PSA is affiliated with PCGS under the Collectors Universe. They do Paper money and comic books as well.
