Is this site in any way associated with the estate of The Everly Brothers? If so, is there any possibility that the "Johnny Cash Presents The Everly Brothers Show" (its official title when broadcast on ABC in the summer of 1970 as a summer replacement for "the Johnny Cash Show") will ever be released on home video and/or distributed on some widely available streaming video services such as Amazon Prime, Hulu and/or Netflix?
Bin ich die Einzige, die diesen Song immer und immer wieder hört und total fasziniert ist, von Phil Everly und seiner Harmonie ? Was für ein Geschenk war und ist er immer noch. Großartig. Bin so dankbar
This day, January 3, 2020, marks the 6th anniversary of Phil Everly leaving us. But he left us with a treasury of music, humor, wit, and wisdom. The "Soundstage" video is one such gem! It is 34 minutes of a true showcasing of Phil's talents as a host, singer, composer, arranger, director, etc. Dion DiMucci and Phil had a great interaction and sharing of some personal rock 'n roll history! We love you foreverly, Phillip! Thank you for your wonderphil legacy! 4 Everly Brothers International
The most beautiful man I have and will ever lay eyes on and the most beautiful voice I have ever heard and ever will. RIP, Phil, Love and miss you always. ❤️
My moms favorite. We love this video so full of talent so handsome gentle and humble. What more can you say. Miss him left way too soon. He was so loved and he will always be special. What a guy.
I was born late. So sad I missed the first Everly wave but still loved Phil's 70's/80's music. He was kickin' and creative to the end and still just a beautiful human being, inside and out.
After watching this video I ordered two of Phil's albums. I enjoy the whole video but those two songs, The Words in Your Eyes and Invisible Man blew me away. What a great talent. Plus such a gracious man. Thank God for you Phil. You made the world of music a better place with your talents and charm.
They were great together, but I get what you are saying. They both unique talents , and such a shame we don't have the great Phil anymore. They laid down the soundtrack to many lives. Bless everybody loving this. ❤️
Phil could absolutely shine on his own but when he and Don back together he almost reverted to being subordinate to Don. It's like he was brainwashed into believing Don was the alpha male and he was secondary. That may not be true but just my impression. Don did appear to have the stronger personality and he was gorgeous but Phil came across as being more gentle with a willingness to let Don take the leading roll. Phil was just as gorgeous and I preferred it w hen he let his wonderful head of hair be more natural.
Whenever I hear "Let It Be Me" and "All I Have To Do Is Dream", I am filled with warm and peaceful memories and great thoughts. That kind of music never goes away. 🧡 hearing Phil's voice, he was a humble Man with such meekness. Now singing amongst so many Heavenly talents. RIParadise, 😇Phil with🧡.
Happy 1st Anniversary to all involved in this Soundstage program (posted March 29, 2019)! It is 45 years since PBS initially presented the performance, and, without publicity, in one year this video has garnered 26,233+ (at the moment) views! The quality and expanse of Phil Everly's multiple talents are evident for the world to see! (The full DVD of the program - if you can get it - includes Dion DiMucci's entire presentation.) I love how Phil Everly is loved and appreciated, more and more!
Thank you for this awesome footage of Phil. You cannot hide a beautiful soul because it shows in the eyes.Oh and he was beautiful on the outside too.Loved and missed by so many of us.God bless you Phil.
I miss Phil so much...It's so hard to explain... a part of me has gone for ever, his "Goodbye line" song brought tears in my eyes. Rest in peace Phil. Thierry
It's little wonder that Brian May (of Queen) stated that he wept when he got the news of Phil Everly's passing several years ago. I'm sure that Brian was not the only one. What a beautiful voice and such a humble man to go with it. As others have said ...RIP Phil.
I LOVE The Everly Brothers, cried the day Phil passed away. He is SO cute here. Thanks so much for posting this. "Up In Mable's Room" , ah he is adorable doing this. Lol! I loved also, "The Goodbye Line" Just gotta have all these albums. They are both beautiful boys, and that hair, wow!!! 😍

ive never heard a duet that sounds like a single voice phil always looked like he was loving every song he was so incredible he didn't have to look at Don to harmonize it just flowed from him his timing was incredible I am 77 and back in the day in Scotland we used to have our wee radios listening to the pirate boats in international waters to stay ahead of the coast guard and we would all try to emulate the everly brothers thank so much for all the videos on UA-cam cheers and stay safe thank you Phil and Don
I'll say this is a real great find! Thanks for posting this! Phil is the man! I agree with others here that Phil was the sound of The Everly Brothers. I just love Phil. He was a gorgeous man, inside and out. Phil looked fantastic on this video! He could hold his own and interact with the audience :) This "Soundstage" video is awesome! Love Dion, too! Phil and Dion were having a great time singing together and talking rock and roll history. Also, get Dion's latest CD "Blues with Friends" It's excellent. RIP, Phil
I almost feel for that guy in the backing band. Could you imagine singing harmonies for the greatest harmony singer to ever live? That’s gotta be daunting.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY to PHIL EVERLY! He was born 80 years ago, on January 19, 1939! How appropriate that this performance was done in Chicago, Illinois, where he was born ( at around 08:54 on video)!
I love "The Words in Your Eyes". Phil wrote it in the late 50s but they never recorded it (or ifv they did, it never went anywhere). His demo was beautiful.
Fantastic video. Only ever seen the Queen of 59 clip before so thank you for posting. Mamaged to ser the Everlys 4 times in the 80s and 90s and would lkve to see Dion but don't suppose he would tour in UK now.
I do not think they ever sung "words in you eyes" together this is purely Phil's style and the song is so emotional that I think it's already perfect with Phil's voice only, it makes it more personal (Phil was feeling each word for good reasons if my memory is good)

As much as we all want to believe in the impossible, it really is impossible for an Everly Brother to sing "Dream" without the other Everly Brother. It simply cannot be done. This fact is established in the universe and has become galactic law.

I agree with you Terry that Phil WAS the sound of the Everly Brothers. Don was a tenor so he sounded louder but if you listen to some where Phil lets rip you will also see that he had this powerful laser beam of a voice. The whole dvd with the Soundstage show on is fabulous with Dion singing 7 songs himself. Well worth buying. The attic's filled with records
Unheard of for many years
When the radio plays old songs
She has no time for tears
She skipped a class reunion for the Homecoming Queen
And she knows you can't go back, friends
To sweet little 16
And the queen of 1959 is happier trying to be
A dedicated mother, a wife and friend to me
And she sure looks good to me
She's my everything
She treats me like a king
She's my lady
Oo lalalala Ba-lalalala
La-lalala Oolalalala
My favorite cheerleader she finds her hair streaked with gray
And instead of drive-in movies, she'd rather see a play
I know that her initials are carved in my desk somewhere
And like rock and roll heroes,
Ponytails have been combed from her hair
And the queen of 1959 is happy trying to be

And she sure looks good to me
She's my everything
