I’m crying listening to this, my heart is breaking, these two great men, gone forever, but their music still lives on, rest in heavenly harmony boys, you did us proud❤️❤️❤️❤️
Though this footage is very low quality, it's fantastic. Such a shame that although it's not exactly new, it's about as recent there is of the Everly Brothers performing before they stopped, and Phil passed. How is there NO official recordings of this? The whole show would be fantastic. I find it highly emotional to watch, as my love for the Everly's was because my late Dad was such a fan. I even went with my (both late now) parents to see them play live in Reading (UK), and it kills me that I can't recall what year that was, but I know I was in my 20's and was the youngest one in the audience, but I loved it. Don was heavier then, he really slimmed down during this time, and although I think it's almost showing that Phil struggled at this point, Don's vocals were as amazing as ever, he really sings superbly in this performance for a 68 year old man. Truly under-appreciated in their later career. I just find these videos incredibly moving, as although my dad would have still been alive when this was recorded, he would never get to see it, and hear it and love it like I just did.
Both had gained weight by this time sadly, as that coupled with Phi’s COPD probably did cause him to struggle for air. It was super sad to see them here as compared to 1958 when I saw them on tv for the first time at agev10!!!❤️😁❤️
@sarge9733 and @sueadt8421 - Both of you mention Phil's "struggle," but I'm not seeing that here. What am I missing? I can hear Phil's higher notes just as before, although he usually holds the final note all the way to the end of Don's final note so that they end at precisely the same time. Is that it? Or is it that he's not playing his guitar, he's only holding it? Or are we imagining the "struggle" because we already know the story? For a couple of "old guys," they sound just like themselves, just like "The Everly Brothers" of our favorite memories and heartfelt prayers. 😇
Es una lástima que esté tan mal el sonido de esta grabación, no se puede apreciar en todo su esplendor la belleza de estas voces tan maravillosas, las excelentes canciones y lo grandioso de sus interpretaciones. De todos modos gracias.
Graham Nash’s attempts to sing with the Everlys spoilt the song for me...his voice didn’t really blend in with D and P’s gorgeous voices. Just my opinion.

What a trill for Everly fan, Graham Nash to join in with Don and Phil in his home city! Thank Lpoollou for posting these unique clips.
