Hi Ben, I suppose a third indicates over 30% not 60. What do you say?

    • @billhe3410

      *****
But on your slide, you used 'nearly a third' to describe 60%, it didnt make any sense

At minute 2:30 it says 60% is nearly a third 🙈 I thought that 60% would be nearly two-thirds? 😅🤔

And as you all know, there are so many ways of learning English effectively, one of those is by reading and listening. You can learn useful phrases and expressions while listening to conversations, passages or even podcast contents. You don't need to understand every word, just focus on those important phrases, bear in mind and put them into practice if possible. Try to make sentences using those phrases and spend at least 30mins practising per day. I am sure that you all will really get better to some extent. 🎉🎉🎉

In your essay format a paragraph for overview is absent which is very important according to British Council. Even some examiners tell that without overview it is not possible to get a band 6 in the task 1. So, please check it twice. Thanks.

Amazed that this mistake has been up there for so many hits. He should have said nearly 2/3 or why not just say 3/5 or even better 60%. This is not good. We don't paraphrase values - just approximations of them.
