What kind and gentle souls… Loved it when Benny responds with “You always impress me “ … Honestly, coming from someone much older, that’s all that matters…..what you each feel about the other! We don’t really count with our opinions in the overall scheme of things. I, for one, just enjoy watching as id never heard of a narrow boat OR that people traveled/lived on these canals… Truly, I had no idea how many there are in Great Britain and Europe until your video popped up last year. I’m hooked now ❤ You did FANTASTIC job, Emily! I’m always so amazed and proud of you both….for your skills, adaptability and talents! It’s your gentle spirits that have me hooked….. I’m not sure why I felt need to comment when watching this time???? But…I did. Yes. I do watch the videos more than once if I need to be uplifted during a difficult time. Thank you. You never fail to leave me feeling so much better than before….no better thing can be given, my friends, than this… You make a difference and there’s always a “ripple effect “…. Blessings from the west Texas desert, Nancy
Well done Emily! Never underestimate the power of a woman! 👍🏻😉 Love the idea of the corked wall, it looks fab & also provides some insulation. That little wood burning stove is so awesome! You could even use the box it came in. Stain the wood, then put a cushion on top…..voila…. You now have extra seating with storage! Hope your 3 gigs go well for you Ben 🎸🎶🪕🎼 Can’t wait til next weekend to see what you two & Alan 🐈⬛ have been up to. Take care & have a great week! 💕🇨🇦🍁
Well done Emily on bed build. Like the Cork idea. Love the tiny wood burner. Consider building a platform maybe a foot high, tile it then put stove on top, that way the heat won't just be going just to your feet. You also could use the underside to store mini logs. The same would look lovely in the bedroom. Every week I look forward to seeing your new boat build.💚
Just been watching your video on bed building & as a builder for 35 years, all I can say is that you are doing a great job, REALLY impressed, keep it up Emily! , p.s. Ben is doing a fantastic job on the other boat , cracking shows, well done! , Sean.
Me too. Look forward so much to each episode. I think your cheerful attitude to life is so appealing. I am watching here and cheering you both on as I see your vision unfold. Emily, you have done great and so brave to tackle this project. Fab job. Well done and well done to you too Benny with the conversion of Rambler. It’s coming on so well. Have a fab week.
Inspirational is what you are Miss Emily! Totally massive Girl power! I’m glad that Alan checked over your handiwork! Benny, what super cute burner! Can’t wait to see how it will look in Rambler!
Wow! I am so impressed by you both. Taking a blank canvas and making into a multipurpose 21:23 place and then building a bed on your own (with some help from Benny). Good on you!
This was like a Christmas video! New bed frame, new mini stove, new solar panels! Even a piece of candy for Benny lol. I am also super impressed with carpenter Emily, just wading into the project and getting it done. Good stuff guys!
If Rambler gets too wobbly in the High winds of Winter then you could always use containerd liquid( 1 litre= 1kg) as a temporary ballast. I believe Home Brew has a very high liquid density, especially when taken internally. 🙂
Nothing wrong with your woodwork Emily, how cosy is that going to be with a small log burner on the wall and off the floor with wood storage underneath it so you can watch the flames when laying in bed on a winters night. Pull out box drawers with casters on the back end and you will get a ton of stuff underneath, Well done you..
Hello My husband would really love to take a trip on a narrowboat, he's spoken about it many, many times. Recently I relented and watched some vlogs about it, and am now I look forward to your upcoming vlogs. I am still working my way through all your previous ones which is keeping me busy. I didn't expect to love watching as much as I do. Also I have found and followed Benny on Spotify. (My hubby is a musician too, he just hasn't played in an awfully long time. We are going to be visiting our children and grandchildren in the UK this December, and hubby is wanting to look into all things Narrowboat when we are there. He's quite excited. Hope you have a super day, Wendy
I like how cooperative and kind you are with each other and how you take adverse situations in your stride without over-reacting and making a big drama about everything. Keep up the awesomeness.
Tumblehome is what Rambler needs, ask a canoeist. Though, I'd imagine, you could usually touch the bottom of a canal for adding stability, or fasten both your boats together. Sometimes it can be easier & cheaper to modify a manufactured product than build from scratch - bed slats from Ikea or similar. They could "concertina" up for the daytime position. Cut a hand hole for a handle, you'll be able to use it from both sides. I don't think your pull out will need locking out, but you could do that on the bed side just as effectively as to the wall. Looks as though it might be a bit long/high, but if the extension folded up it could be handy for retaining the mattress. You could always make it double fold.
Hey Ben, if you're planning to use your new boat as a studio, you may consider applying some sound deadening material on the sides to improve the sound qualities of your records.
You guys are so clever. Emily, that was a great , project really great. I can't even make a wood box that is anywhere near square. Between the two of you is there anything that can't be built, made, wired up, glued together, etc. etc.. And Hi from Florida
Wow… you two don’t stop! Well done Emily on your diy skills..👏🏻👏🏻 and I love the little stove on Benny’s boat, can’t wait to see it lit and puffing smoke😊
Emily looks great and that little stove so cute haha you getting so excited over the shovel lol made me 😅 not sure that thick mattress will bend but your have a little tunnal for alan to get though sure benny will join her lol. you should be very proud of yourself
Ben, my grandmother cooked on a wood cook stove with big oven. The removable cast iron plates on the little new wood burner are good for cooking, much less fire is needed when placing a cast iron skillet over the hole so it seals it mostly. Open windows when doing that, and have a CO detector.
Well done Emily love all the new badly needed storage.Your boat home is so cosy I am retired now and I have time to watch videos when I am not crafting.Ben and yourself are a joy to watch keep them coming.x
Ballast is important for the small boat if most of the weight you are now adding is above the waterline. Being top heavy can be dangerous. If the boat sits more in the water it will be more stable and will be less inclined to lean when you put weight on the port or starboard side. Charles
Hi There Ben Emily and Alan , What a Great job you have done , your Bed looks Really Good , you have so many Talents Emily , And plenty of room for Alan too, well done , Keep up the Great work , so Thank you for sharing , Take care All , X X 🛏, 👍👍
OMG that so dinky cute stove...Emily your so clever bedroom is going to look fab... Alan will be climbing up the cork walls 😂.. She seems to like it.. Looking forwards to the next video take care guys love you 🙏
I see the clerk of works turned up to check on your work Emily.....bless her she should have her own channel.......😂😂😂😂😂........brilliant as always......Martin.....
In the USA we recently have plywood called Advantech plywood. It's supposed the be revolutionizing floor construction. I think it's highly water resistant and other new features. Might be useful if you make sud frame repairs in the future.
Oh wow Benny. I love your stove. Hope you keep the box also. Its so amazing. Super solar panels. Love your new bedroom. Well done Emily. Beautiful job. So proud of you both. Incredible building skills.
I've been really loving your channel and made my first steps towards buying a boat. You've been a big part in that. BTW...Benny, the track 'It is ours' is truly beautiful.
I've bought a tiny narrowboat wood burning stove off a narrow boat ended up carrying it down a muddy tow path in the dark about 1/4 of a mile. it's now in my house bedroom a few lumps of coal over night really nice and warm even when the wind is blowing down from the moor . It seems to be a favourite home for wasps to over winter . Light it quick and shut the door .
Be sure to use a oil based stain blocking primer made for mold, I would put it on the floor, try to encapsulate the mold. Please look into ventilation under the sub floor. Until that is fixed, mold will always be back in cool days.
Also there is condensation from the air, especially air near water. Whenever there is a temperature difference water forms. Insulation causes temperature differences sometimes. Ventilation is always the answer.
Well done Emily - so impressed with your carpentry skills - You made a super bed frame !! Also well done to Benny on all you've done inside and outside of Rambler !! I also love Alan's new super cosy bed- looks very warm and comfy.
I always look forward to your Vlog.Wow Benny and Emily you both are very skilled. Benny your boat is looking good. And Emily you have done a fantastic job with the bed.Alan she is so cute.Have a week all three of you.😺🎃🎃
well done with the bed! I used cork on my van. It's great, as long as it's glued well, which it looks like you managed to do. And the wee stove! Maybe those compressed wood chip brickettes will work well in it. stay cosy.
That tiny stove looked great but I have read a lot about towns and cities tightening up the rules on smoke free areas and fining people with wood burners and even smokeless coal. So you might like to think about a diesel heater for the bedroom just so that you have some alternative form of heat if you can’t use wood or coal.

A 33 minute Ben and Emily video? Could this day get any better?
that would require an extra 10 minutes of just the Allan cam i think
@@kahnzilla you are absolutely correct.
My weekend has been made. How can it get any better than watching my favourite couple
😂😂
😂 “I got a bit carried away” I think that’s my life motto 😂

Seriously, you two can have your own fixer upper narrowboat channel. It’s obvious that you both are handy with tools.
Was half expecting to find the Arc of the Covenant inside that crate xx
Emily you are a legend. Bed builder extraordinaire. So talented
Benny, The hole on top of the stove is to have direct flame onto your pan or kettle, remove to cook then replace afterwards :)
Well again ,I just love what you two get up to! No nine to fives and oh so entertaining.

Well done 👏🏻
Inspirational is what you are Miss Emily! Totally massive Girl power! I’m glad that Alan checked over your handiwork!
Benny, what super cute burner! Can’t wait to see how it will look in Rambler!

Great experience you are having Being independent is a vital necessity..
Hats off to you, stay safe.

You guys are smashing it. The bed looks so good and the little boat is coming on so well. You both should be so proud. Well done!
Thanks so much! 😊
Benny love your new hairstyle, it really suits you. Helen 😀& Barney 🐕🦺
Thank you for letting us enjoy your home leveling up! You will be much more comfortable this coming winter❣️
Using finger holes for the bed slide out handles would allow the same holes to slide over dowels in the strips on the boat side.
Both boats really getting a makeover! Well done the both of you 👏 You must be super pleased!
Great job on the bed! Well done Emily, impressed with your skills!

EVERYTHING IS LOOKING GREAT GUYS! AND IM IN LOVE WITH ADORABLE LITTLE ALLAN!❤😻🐈⬛
Both boats are coming along rather well. Comfy, cozy and warm if you get the second tiny stove. May travel mercies follow your caravan.
Cork is an excellent insulation, maleable, easy to cut and form.
Hi Emily, so glad you did take the bed out. That mould was nasty.
Alan, you are soooo cute
I see the clerk of works turned up to check on your work Emily.....bless her she should have her own channel.......😂😂😂😂😂........brilliant as always......Martin.....

You dears need a set of rechargeable walkie talkies to communicate from boat to boat, especially when its cold and rainy!!
They have them already.
What a lovely bed well done Emily. The solar panels are a good idea on the Rambler. Love the little stove and the crate it came in
Brilliant projects. Brilliant spirit and fun. I love your videos and lifestyle.
Steve
Hahaha I knew Emily would be obsessed with the wood burner!
Oh wow Benny. I love your stove. Hope you keep the box also. Its so amazing. Super solar panels.
Love your new bedroom. Well done Emily. Beautiful job. So proud of you both. Incredible building skills.
Thanks so much! 🥰
Good job Emily! And Benny too of course
I've been really loving your channel and made my first steps towards buying a boat. You've been a big part in that. BTW...Benny, the track 'It is ours' is truly beautiful.

The bed is fab! It’s a brand new design!
Issue with Cork is, with any slight moisture it gets moldy.
Well done Emily - so impressed with your carpentry skills - You made a super bed frame !!
Also well done to Benny on all you've done inside and outside of Rambler !!
I also love Alan's new super cosy bed- looks very warm and comfy.
Brilliant, Emily well done on the bed build.

Brilliant job with the bed. Well done Emily!
My favorite video so far

It's only happening in a couple of places, but thanks for the thought! 😊
Omg that little fire is so cute ❤
What a great little stove
Good team!
