Are there any tropical wool seeesuckers available? Is that puckered weave easy at all for animal fabrics - especially looser weave?

Good question. If my tropical wool, you mean a high twist with a loose weave, I have seen a few that resemble such, for example the Loro Piana one I discuss at the end of the video, you can also see how much light it lets through in the video, meaning it will be very breathable. The jacket we made is also using a 98% wool from an Italian mill called Marzotto, which is very breathable and has a beautiful drape, you can see more pictures of that one here: www.principlem.com/shop-all/p/new-seersucker-jacket

@@Justin_Kwan great!! I’ve had some cotton seersucker but need to explore the wool world with this, as I love the summer feel and generally open weave that’s possible😀

We have a new fabric brand in house called Fratelli Tallia di Delfino, which has a nice selection of wool seersucker fabrics at a decent price. Also our house design from Marzotto is fantastic in terms of price value. If interested in exploring something made to measure, let me know, I'd be happy to work on something for you and can set up a virtual fitting: www.principlem.com/contact

I actually don't find that seersucker breathes that well. It's a rather tight weave and the breeze doesn't go through it. I much prefer meshy fabrics like Giro Inglese or a lightweight hopsack. And for maximum breathability, linen is the ultimate.

You are right, high twist wools will be more breathable than a dense cotton seersucker or a 360g Irish linen. But a lightweight wool seersucker will be breathable and have more spring than a cotton, meaning it will drape better. With fabrics, there are a lot of considerations to keep in mind. Thank you for sharing.
