Spice Girls - Mama (Biffco Mix Edit)

It's Mother's Day today, so this post is for all the Moms out there--those still with us and those no longer with us. In 1997, the Spice Girls paid tribute to their own mothers with "Mama", which debuted at #1 on the UK Pop chart as a double-sided single along with "Who Do You Think You Are." The single also went to #1 in Ireland, Scotland, and Austria, while becoming a Top Ten hit in Belgium, Germany, Hungary, Netherlands, New Zealand, Sweden, and Switzerland. Despite its success in Europe and other regions, "Mama" was not released as a single in the USA. While I thought the original version was quite all right, I preferred the Biffco Mix of the track, which added smoother rhythms and mellower arrangements.
