  • British singer-songwriter Cathy Dennis' remake of a song originally recorded in 1984 by the American R&B group Wish featuring Fonda Rae became her biggest hit, going to #2 on Billboard's Hot 100 chart in 1991. "Touch Me (All Night Long)" also became a #1 song on the Dance charts and went to #5 on the UK Pop chart. Early versions of her album lists the song as "All Night Long (Touch Me)", with some releases containing both the different titles on either the album jacket or disc label. The song was slightly rewritten by Cathy from the original, and Shep Pettibone's mix and arrangements for the single version are quite lovely; this was one of my favorite songs of 1991, and also my all-time favorite Cathy Dennis song--it should've gone to #1!

      From Wikipedia:
Dennis pivoted to songwriting in the 2000s and became renowned for her work, scoring eight UK number ones, winning six Ivor Novello Awards and two Grammys.[3] Her co-credits include the multi-platinum singles "Can't Get You Out of My Head" by Kylie Minogue, "Toxic" by Britney Spears, and "I Kissed a Girl" by Katy Perry. In 2004, Dennis was listed 66th in the Q list of the 100 most influential people in music. In 2006, she won the UK music industry's Woman of the Year Award.

Ever heard of, “Neon Rainbow” by The Box Tops? And, “Let It All Hang Out” by The Hombres? And finally, “There’s Got To Be A Word!” by The Innocence? All 3 are from 1967.

All good songs, and perfectly capture the mood of the late 1960s
