I feel as if this cover would work with other model boats of the same length as well... would you say so? I have a SouthBay but like the way these covers work and go on, more so than the snap system of my boat...
If you lay the cargo strap lever down flat away from the center, you can use one hand to release the other lever. You will hear it click when it locks open.
Same here. I just got my boat 3 months ago and can’t get this thing on. Taking it next week to the shop to see what they say. This video is great and your comments confirm my suspensions. Thanks for the great vid!
If you pull on the handle release you can straighten the ratchet handle completely which will release the cam allowing the "winch strap" to loosen. Should only take one hand.
I got this cover with my 2023 and it’s awful! It’s only sun proof and leaves my boat drenched. The poles don’t stay up. Whoever came up with this system wasn’t thinking. I’m spending 1500 on a custom made cover now. Wasted $900 on this and they won’t let me return it! Save your money!
@@mikethedesertrat I dislike that it doesn't cover the sides or swim ladder. I have a 2023 and it came with a 3 pole support system that I had to modify to get it to work properly. I like the ratchet idea, I just feel they could have done better for 800 bucks.
@@joshcolson8097 The sides would be nice so they don't fade. I don't mind the swim ladder not being covered because I can climb up the back to cover and uncover the boat. The ladder's velcro strap is exposed though.

Thank you so much for such a detailed video on how to 'successfully' install the boat cover. I have this book marked for next year. lol
Awesome. Glad to help.
Thank you. I never put a cover on a pontoon boat before but with this video it was easy. That's for sharing
Glad it was helpful!
😊
This was SOOOO useful! Thank you so very much! The instructions that came with it were impossible to understand. But this made it so easy!
Great. Thanks, and glad it helped.

New Boat
Perfect instructions. Simple step by step.
Thanks 🙏 😊
My cover came with my boat :-)
Thank you!

Nice job on the video

I figured that out later.
Thank you! Perfect video! Huge help!
Not sure if my cover is too small, because it didn't go that easy. I'm having a hell of a time trying to put this cover on.
Sounds like it might be. Mine is an 18' pontoon. I don't know the exact model number of the cover.

What a great video thank you very much 🙏🏻
Thank you. I hope it helped.
Thanks. Your video helped alot
Glad to help.
Great explanation - thank you.
would this years covers fit a 2017 SunTracker Fishing Barge 22DLX?
Sorry, I can't say for sure.
Actually, if you move the ratcheting handle all the way flat, it automatically loosens so you don't have to use two hands
Thank you
Grr.. i just said that before reading your post!
How much did this cover cost and did the cover come with the engine cover?
With the boat, retail, I think it was $700. Not cheap.
Wondering if you have to srink wrap in Winter or would this cover do the job?
Mine went through winter fine, but that's in a mild southern climate.
thank you !
You're welcome. Hope it helps.

Thank you. I figured there was a better way.
What did you do with your anchor light attached to your Bimini
I unscrew it, unplug it, and store it inside the boat.
I loosened mine and let it lay against the rear of the boat.
Do you have an issue with water pooling at the Bimini? All though mine is a 24 foot boat
I do not. It flows off pretty well.
How much does the boat with trailer weigh?
Actually I'm not sure but the information is probably available on the Sun Tracker website.
How can buy it , thanks

Weird it works perfect for me I get the cover on in 10 minutes or less and rain runs down, there shouldn't be any low spots for water to pool up
Incase you came here having difficulty with this cover just be aware its the dumbest cover and support system ever made.
Mine has actually worked well for 3 years. But I have mine on more than off. I use my boat about a dozen times a year. No leaks, no puddling.
