I own a pair of Carlos Santos monk straps in a nice mid brown with a matching belt and I agree that the color and quality is fantastic. Sadly I bought the belt a while back and I have since put on 15ish pounds and no longer can wear the belt.
Hands down prefer more individual review videos! Keep me coming!

I like both kinds of videos. Nice to get an in-depth review of an individual product. and the round-up videos are perfect as an efficient buying guide. love all your work. the roundups are what make your channel better than the rest - but that doesn't need to be every video. that's a lot of time and money for just one video. happy to see some smaller ones.

I like both, honestly. If you get enough stuff for a yearly round-up like the performance dress shirt, that would be cool, but if you do round-ups to piggyback off your previous ones, that's cool as well.

I have a pair of their Chelsea boots and wingtip boots. Both are amazing and I get wows from my Chelsea's. There's a bit of a break in with the wingtip boots. But after about 5 wears, they feel great.

From your experience, how do you compare the Carlos Santos sneaker to the Crown Northampton ?

They have two lines. The $400 price you mentioned is the handgrade line, which have some upgraded features (beveled waist, closed channel stitching, etc.). The regular line is around the $300 figure and I think what your loafers are. Haven't handled the main line but those loafers look nice! Also Kostas at Noble Shoe is the man.

I'm always a sucker for a good hand painted patina and those loafers are absolutely gorgeous.
As to your concerns at the end I like roundups and individual reviews, but I did just watch a good roundup on all the Johnnie Walker labels and found it the most helpful, so maybe that would be a good idea!

I've bought two pairs of Carlos Santos from Kostas. Guy is a legend and his service is excellent. He's the only one the place and service is awesome.
One thing John missed though: CS has two lines for their dress shoes, a regular and the handgrade line. I own one pair from each. The handgrade has a closed channel sole and fantastic sole finishing and I feel the leather is a little nicer. They retail around $400. The regular line has an open channel sole and leather (for me at least) felt a little stiffer, but not like breaking in a pair of red wing boots and retails $250 to $300 depending on the style and currency. The regular line has an amazing patina service as well where you pick your patina and shoe style. I got oxfords in wine shadow and they're probably one of my best looking shoes. Everything ships via DHL, so even being in the US, I got my stuff in 2 days shipping from Sweden. Highly recommend Kostas. 🙂

I prefer the individual videos when it comes to shoes and suits. When it comes to more ancillary items like dress shirts, polos, tees, shorts etc I prefer occasional round-up videos. Thanks again.

Your round up videos make you stand out in the YT Men Lifestyle world for sure and you need to keep that! But I do like your individual deep dive into more niche brands. I like knowing the history and how they operate, where they source their materials, etc. You have put me on to so many brands over the years and I like your focus on quality which I value a lot. You have shifted the way I buy clothes and accessories (in a good way). I would like your channel to stick with the quality over trend theme.

Definitely my favorite brand of shoes if I was buying new. My only regret was buying most of my shoes in black when I should've went for brown.
I have 6 pairs of CS, still planning to buy a couple more in a month.

Great brand, great quality. With this brand I entered the world of Goodyear Welded shoes. Price is lower than Carmina. Especially on Herring shoes winter or summer sales, you can buy last size pair for $200. CS offers awesome hand-made patina pairs, though you won't find museum calf or cordovan among their models. Loafers showed by Kavalier have lining, so I'm in doubts whether they are suitable for summer. CS doesn't provide unlined loafer models. Compared to other brands like Meermin or Carmina they have quite limited number of models which are no doubts cool. Sneakers shown in review are rather for cold autumn, I own a pair. Compared to Wolverine 1000 Mile sneaker CS's rubber sole erases faster (wolverines have Vibram sole). Never use Renomat it destroys patina! Renovator is ok.
I think you are overthinking the lined or unlined loafers, unless you live in a very hot state. I prefer the way lined shoes keep their shape. However it’s up to the retailer to make the shoes, so I could for example request them unlined. Everything has its merit though and personal preference! Tlb and Carmina are excellent brands for this as well!
The sneakers are more versatile in these colors, but customizable in 18 more through the patina service by the way!

@@MisiuAcademy thanks Kostas! Still waiting for CS's Dainite sole suede chukka 7991 restock on thenobleshoe. By the way would be cool if that model sizing started from size 5 UK (mine is 5.5 for perfect fitting).
@@pnetesa the restock actually came today but unfortunately not in such small sizes. I have to be very careful with my stock! However the normal ones with a city sole are always available! I also have a wingtip in UK 5 that I can give you for a great price!

Question? Do you think hand painted, burnished or patina. Are in the timeless category? I tried that minimal sneaker thing. It became boring.
Has to be very tasteful. I've come across plenty that look more trendy and that's what you'd want to avoid. All in the eye of the beholder though

tldr. roundups are the best. but individual videos are cool too. do both. we like it all.
I have a pair of their cap toes with a beautiful patina and fiddle back waist. Fantastic quality for the price. And very comfortable.
I like the individual videos a bit better than the roundups. Especially if you’re including things in the roundups that you don’t have or are just showing the webpage for some of your recommendations.

Can you still wear leather loafers when it's hot outside with lightweight breathable dress socks? If you're not really into no show socks anymore would appreciate anyones input on this. Appreciate the content! Also saves some money from buying a suede pair but maybe someday.
I believe loafers should only be worn sockless or with no show socks
@@HeathyRoidz I respectfully disagree I believe they can also look good with dress socks especially for semi formal and formal events when you want to switch it up from no shows also sockless is difficult since my feet tend to sweat at times. I can try sockless but idk my loafers are regular leather not woven so not sure it would be comfortable.
@@HeathyRoidz By the way don't mean to sound mean. I was just stating an opinion I could try going barefoot in my loafers as well since I'm a little tired of no show socks. But like I said I just worry about blisters or bruising on the ankle also if my feet start sweating inside. I've been getting in better shape so overall been trying to improve my style appreciate your feedback.
@@Manuel421 yeah that’s fine, to each their, I’ve always been told that loafers shouldn’t be worn with socks that show, or even dress socks, so it’s something that I don’t appreciate seeing that much, and I personally like wearing calf leather shoes with no socks, I didn’t have any blisters as of yet, Have fun with your style! Make it your own!
@@HeathyRoidz I'll definitely test it out you have me convinced that I wouldn't get blisters but I guess I'll just have to experiment. Can regular leather be breathable or does it have to be woven? My loafers are regular leather not Woven which tend to be more breathable as I read. However I think for situations like church Dress socks would be considered appropriate you can disagree if you want though no worries I respect others perspectives. I'm a man who use to wear t shirts and shorts or t shirts and jeans etc.. so definitely a great experience to step up the style. I'm not into Boat shoes or sneakers anymore really so I can probably survive on just 5 pairs of shoes. With Oxfords though not sure if you should be barefoot in them again I guess everyone has had their own tests with the shoes.
Don't like the stark white soles on the sneaks. For the navy, black soles would bring out the clour of the navy uppers, and for the brown (which are beautiful) taupe would be less obtrusive.

It's important for us viewers to know just in case we want to buy the best out there. If your afraid because the other company paid you to say good things then shame shame because you would be giving consumers bad info...so yes wish you would've mentioned others that you compare the santos carlos to..

Why are you scared to say what other brand that falls 2nd to carlos sneaker, ? That info can help consumers to watch for difference.. so if you don't say other brand I guess they paid you for a good review and now you can take it back.
