I got my first ever pair of Birkenstocks this past summer and I can’t believe it took me so long to finally try them! I highly recommend that you do get a pair in the coming spring.
Dude, I was a big Birk-hater growing up, but now I'm totally a convert. They're my go-to house shoe and summer sandal. Take the plunge I say!

My first Arizona in the ‘90s, introduced by a family member. I wore with socks as advertised then, but only sparingly due to its appearance. The more I mellowed, these became a summer fave until the wax on the cork wore out from the heat. Second pair 30 years later and they feel like my first. Definitely a fan.
Absolutely loved this video, it was so interesting to hear about them, but I'd loved to hear even more about some of the things you talked about! Definitely a lot more interesting of a company than I knew!

Been wearing them since I was a kid, and still do so. I'm currently trying obsessed with their rubber version. Great for just doing errands and very comfortable!

Edit: I still won’t buy sandals, I’m either in low profile shoes or barefoot on the beach during the warm seasons. Although, as a regular beach goer, I can assure y’all that closed toed shoes are superior to sandals for walking or running in the sand. That’s especially true for those SoCal beaches that require quiet a bit of walking in sand to get to the water.

Just Bought 2 pairs of birkenstocks Yesterday Black and brown Love them
I got my first pair in 2008 and it remains intact, it worn out and I got another pair but also one to the beach/pool. I also bought extra insoles so I can wear with some sneakers too. Absolutely love the brand! Thanks for sharing another content with us J!

So that’s what this footwear is.. I am definitely going to buy some in the near future.. I bought a similar fashion at Target and I love them but I have to experience the original genuine one as well!! The model and shape definitely comfortable for sure.

Worn these for years but my god once the sweat smell gets in to the Cork its game over
I bought my first pair of Birkinstocks in 1979 in Boulder, CO. They were navy blue suede and I think they were Arizona type but instead of having a square joining to the footbed, the 2 straps were one piece and had a v shape. I had them resoled twice and finally pitched them in 2001. I would love to have another pair. Do you know the name of that style, 2 straps like the Arizona but one piece that attached to the inside of the sandal, Thanks

I don't wear sandals either, However I've found the perfect summer/beach shoe, the boat shoes by Crocs,
these are not your regular weird looking Crocks but ones that look like docksiders instead but with the same level of comfort as a regular pair of Crocs, making them perfect shoe for the beach (have you tried walking in the sand with flip flops?) with these boat shoes by Crocs you can walk perfectly on the beach and if they get wet by the water they are fine as they are waterproof, and they last forever as Crocs do. I don't know if they still make them, I bought 3 pairs back in 2015 and still going strong.
I love my Arizona’s and can’t recommend them enough. I was against it a first because I didn’t love the look but they are extremely comfortable and definitely fall under the category of fewer nicer things!
I also hate the thong feeling in between my toes. I’ve been wearing Sanuk Sidewalk Surfers as my summer footwear. Great info on the Birkenstock’s, I’ll have to see how they feel. Also, love the new lighting set up.

Love them. Don't wear them outside of the house, but they are always on my feet when inside.
I also hate sandals, but I LOVE birks! Get a pair of the black "entry level"!
In my 20’s had a female friend who swore by these shoes. I named them DWAMS ( don’t want a man shoes). Now here I am years later considering buying my first pair. Good thing I’m already married. LOL 😂
Love my birkenstocks. They are the bridge between the ease of access you get with slides and the quality of welted footwear and cork footbeds. It's my most worn piece of footwear, if I'm going to the store I'll wear them spring, summer, winter, or fall.
Which brand is that sweater?
The second you put them on you know they're great. My father and mother wore them, I thought they were extremely hideous. Now I own 2 pair, one Arizona and one rip-off from Mango. I have the same experience with things between my toes, a horrible feel.
You won't regret buying the Arizona. It breaks in beautifully, so much so that I even had my resoled.

Birkenstocks ARE available on Amazon though. They are on my wish list. I don’t think they are rip offs…..

You can get them there, but it's a crapshoot and the odds favor getting counterfeits. Birkenstock stopped selling there because their real Birks were piled in the warehouse with the fake and damaged ones from third party sellers, and the bad ones got sold as authorized Birkenstocks. So they stopped selling there. If you want to be sure, buy from Birkenstock themselves or an authorized dealer.
