What could you tell us about the warranty and costumer service between this brands? There's a few bikeshop which offers free tune ups and third would make difference for a beginner rider for example.
Up until now we had Trek FX 7.2 that we used mainly on pavement. We are thinking about upgrading to MTB so we can use them on off road trails, gravel and hard packed roads as well as paved city streets. How would you compare Giant Talon 2 to Specialized Rockhopper Sport? They are both $750 with hydraulic breaks. Specialized has 2x9 drivetrain where Giant is 1x9.
I'm a larger dude and I want a bike.. unfortunately the steel frames are all cheap so I'm leaning towards the Marlin 5, since it's rated to people up to 300 while the other ones are only listed to somewhere around 250-275. Due to post pandy inventory what I've seen in 2023 is that the Marlin has upgraded to altus drivetrain while the Talon 4 and the specialized are using now microshift the talon4 is now around 570, the marlin 5 is 590 in certain trek stores but retailers have it for 750, while the rockhopper 29 is about 650. USD. There's barely any inventory close by in Denver
I know your comment was a year ago but I just bought a brand new specialized rockhopper sport It has a 1x drivetrain, and it's Shimano I really enjoy it I'll change the forks out but other than that it's a great bike❤❤❤
I cant seem to find any basic bike size guides for a xc setup, just ordered a Talon 3 29er size Large frame (following the company guidelines for height) but it turned out HUGE, have about 1 inch space between topbar and crutch while standing on ground. Any recommendations for what I should consider for simple beginner bike fit?
I was going to get the giant marlin 4 anyway. It's the cheapest Altrough all of theese bikes are a lot more expensive in ft(hungarian currency) was planning on a nucleus vr 27.5 but it's out if m budget. Marlin is way overpriced too for me, and the rockhopper is out of stuck. 1 question tough, can you put 120mm forks in the talon 4? Medium size
Good day! Thank you for a great work done! I’ve followed all of your videos and loved them. I am about to pull the trigger on Trek within the next 3-4 weeks. But i am lose between Duo Sport 3/4 vs Checkpoint (ALR or SL). Do you think you can do a video on this, please? I would really owe u a big favour!
I may be able to make a video like that eventually, though I mainly focus on mountain bikes on my channel currently. For now though I'll quickly mention that the dual sports are hyrbid bikes that are more about comfort and having versatility, while the checkpoints are gravel bikes with drop handlebars made to go a bit faster on gravel. The dual sport is more of a commuter or fitness style bike while the checkpoint is more built for speed and bike days in my opinion.
They’ll all be good for that in my opinion, but since travel trails are typically not as bumpy and technical as mountain trails, you could probably go with the marlin to get the cross country geometry that’ll be better for speed
Plz make a in-person comparison video between Trek Marlin 7 & Dual sport 4.. which one is best value for Money..? Love from India🇮🇳 Also make video comparison between Trek and Scott bikes Plz.. Thank you in advance🙂
The BEST hardtail is the one that's actually in stock. 😭
Which is the talon 4
Solid !
This is exactly the purchasing question I’m trying to answer.
Thanks for the vid
No problem!
You do great work! Thanks so much for these.
Thank you!
I just upgraded from a northrockxc27 to the Rockhopper. I couldn't find a bike during the pandemic so the xc27 was all I could find.
I think that the Rockhopper has a better geometry for Trail rides, well that surprise me because i have Talon 2 and i love it. Great videos as always!
Thank you!
YAYAY WE MISSED YOU!! SO HAPPY YOU’RE BACK!!
I LOVE U

@@MTB_FANATIC99 I bought the Marlin so far happy with the decision!
The Best hardtail is the one that fits you. I'd prefer the specialized rockhopper elite or trek x calibre 7. Thanks
Welcome back seems like forever since you've made your last video. I love three of the bikes but if I had to choose the trek marlin all the way.
Yeah had a few problems with Trek and wasn't allowed to upload for a while; might talk about that eventually. But thank you!
The giant talon 4 is 300 usd in ksa should i buy it
Could you pls let me know which would be the best for moderate trail & commuter bike? Thanks
Congrats for the job! Do you know anything about the bike shortages when will more bike will be available
I want the Marlin 6 but they are out of stock :(((
Wow very informative so cool
Thank you!

medium frame ... i have the S/M frame fits
What do you think about vitus?
So which one is good for mountain and road

Depends on the fork. If it has a straight steer tube then yes. It will alter the geometry of the bike a little bit, but should be fine.
Great Videos. How is the Talon 4 and Rockhopper the same in pounds and have an $80 difference in dollars? (2:03)
thats probably retail mark up by the bike store ... i chose the talon 4

Thank you bro. Looking forward to your next video. 👌
Do you like your Trek 5 , looking at one myself
You should have done the talon 3 it’s closer to the price range
I m planning to buy giant talon 3 is it good for competitive riders and competition bte enjoy your videos 💖✨🚲
What would be a good option for gravel trails?
They’ll all be good for that in my opinion, but since travel trails are typically not as bumpy and technical as mountain trails, you could probably go with the marlin to get the cross country geometry that’ll be better for speed
But what about talon 3?
your amazon link is not working for me
Oh oops! Just fixed that
I got a roscoe 7 for $550 back in 2019 right before the pandemic.
Nice!!
Killer deal right there.
roscoe? 😳 damnnn
same price range for the 2021 Talon 4
Plz make a in-person comparison video between Trek Marlin 7 & Dual sport 4.. which one is best value for Money..? Love from India🇮🇳

There are test drive videos
Would the rockhopper be a good commuter
yes, all 3 are really good for commuters
Vitus Nucleus in Grey for me.
Do you know when Ontario gets stock on the marlin 5? I've been wanting it for months now
Unfortunately I don’t :(
