Every Sunday I feel so blessed to hear the Sunday String Along. I absolutely love it. Just a couple of days ago I prayed that the Lord would give me a new start in life so your message is really speaking to me. Thx Bro Dykes!
The world would be such a better place if everyone would watch the Sunday String-Along! The music you play always makes for a happier heart and the Truth you share makes for a healthier soul. Thank you, Doyle. I so appreciate these videos.
Hello Mr. Doyle, as always, presenting a high-quality song with improved performance. The other day I watched the video with Caleb and I really liked it. If you perform more with him, it would be great. May the Lord continue to bless you and your entire family.
Dear Doyle, You played for our RealMen retreat this past weekend and I thank you so much. You blessed us with your playing and your authentic love of the Lord. God Bless you & yours!!
As I do every Sunday I share your String Along, and proudly I'll say a few of my friends have started watching, it's a blessing to share and receive others that will be moved by your messages. Thank you for bringing this joy into my life and those who will follow.
Bless you Doyle. You do a great thing playing your guitar. I am a life long Catholic that tries to be as faithful as I can. Going to Sunday mass was always in my life. When I was in the service at war, I couldn’t attend mass but God was in my heart. There were times when I wasn’t the best for the Lord. God has always been there for me even as I was a sinner. I had an old acoustic guitar that I played when I could and drug it along while in the service in the ‘60s. It saved me as it was a way to go to God and try to please him. I continued to play and played in Mass for the Lord and those there. God loves you Doyle for your ministry. I play pedal steel these days and it is an emotional thing. God bless you and your family. Mike aka Rags.
Mr. Mike, sir, as a fellow church musician and a professing Christian, I wonder how you think about the apostle Paul telling the Roman Christians that "there is no one righteous, not even one" and that Jesus' righteousness is the righteousness of Christians (i.e., holy justification in God's eyes). The failure of the Roman Catholic catechism and "Mass" being considered worthwhile for heavenly comfort is its moralistic standpoint. We should lead obedient, faithful lives out of God's Spirit and His love in and for us. Martin Luther also teaches us that no one can pay the debt that we owe to God for the offense of our sin. Thank you for listening, and I will pray for your faith.
@@NathanielMacArthur-o9k Well, as presented in the Bible, “Let he without sin cast the first stone”. There has been no failure moralistic or any other way with the Roman Catholic catechism or mass except in some human concept that I know of. Living a life that is cognizant of each other and the ways of our brothers and sisters is the most important whether Catholic, Muslim, Buddhist…whatever or agnostic. I’ve seen men die in war that truly wanted to be with the Lord without concern of specific religion and their mother at the time of their death. Be that said, God be with you and yours.
Doyle, 2 days ago I had my fourth surgery in less than 2 years, and this one was on my heart. Because of you and your words of wisdom to give my problems to God, I have made it through each time with a whole lot less stress and concern because I gave those issues to Him. Thank you for being such a big part in getting me through some considerable challenges. I firmly believe that people come into our lives for a reason. I have never missed a String-A-Long since you started them, they are such an important part of my life. Thank you for your inspiration.
Your '58 Tele story is great. We all come to Christ broken and scattered. Then He puts us back together into something beautiful. Maybe not on the outside but in His hands, our purpose is pure, holy and precious. I am an old picker from the early 90s. My resume pails in comparison but I did have a few bright spots on my guitar journey (Charlie Walker and Marvin Rainwater). You would not recognize my name though. I left the music business for the pursuit of a family. Maybe if I had met some people like you, I might have kept playing? Now my audience is my wife, grandkids and our dogs...my harshest critics...lol. Thanks for all your great pickin' and preachin'! Loved every second of it. 😊😊😊
Thanks Doyle for your devotion and commitment for doing these every week. I get up every Sunday morning, make a coffee, put in my headphones and sit back to another Episode and listen for what God wants to remind me of through you.
That old Tele sounds good, but Doyle could make a 2x4 with rubber bands sound good. Loved that transition through G major in that opening number and all the other amazing picking! Big thanks to Doyle for the shout out. Today’s String Along message was a very important one for Christians and for those contemplating becoming a Christian. Doyle delivered the message with such Grace and encouragement that it could only be of great value and help to anyone who listens to it. Thank you so much, Doyle Dykes.
My father used to play Danny Boy on the guitar and played beautiful chord melody- I just wished I had recorded him playing it before he died. It was one of my favorites. Thanks for bringing back the memories🙏
Doyle, you are such a blessing. I love watching you every Sunday and your words of wisdom of the word of the Lord! Have a great day and a blessed week!!
Doyle, I'm blown away (again). In your closing prayer, you unknowingly quoted a line from my song "On the outside looking in" ... Lord, I beg you'll hear my plea, make me the man I'm supposed to be, help me change this place I've been, on the outside looking in. God Bless you, Doyle. You are touching people in ways you will likely never fully know.
Doyle, I’m a 57 model and I pray God to remake me into what He wants me to be just like you took a 58 neck and made a whole Tele out of it. Thanks for today’s music and message!
Keep up the great work, Doyle. I just came back from the Men’s retreat in Homer, Georgia with Restoration church. I was so blessed there. You were a great part of that blessing. Thank you for what you do. I am looking forward to watching your channel. God bless you
Thank you for dropping in with us in Homer GA last week. 'been watching you here in UA-cam for a while, so surprised to have the chance to see you in person at the men's retreat, a true highlight of a weekend of highlights! Thank you sir!
Love your chicken pickin on the telecaster. Great playing and great message today. Thanks for the county licks. Thanks for the different styles. We are all instruments in His hands in Christ. What a true statement.
Wonderful playing and singing! I especially enjoy the variety of guitars you choose to bring out to play on the Sunday String Along videos. I surrender all is a mighty hymn and has the message for sure! Thank you for all you do Doyle here on the Sunday String Along ministry.
Thanks so much Doyle. I look so forward to this every Sunday and so appreciate your commitment to the gospel. Would also like to know what pedal and amp you favor.
I love your channel and your music! I came to this channel after Paul Wilson mentioned you on his channel. I'm so excited to hear that y'all are going to record that train song together. I really look forward to hearing that. God bless.
Thanks for sharing your time and message again Doyle! It always lifts my spirit. God Bless. I love when you break out that tele. It's about the perfect electric guitar design, and I own 2 myself. ❤
I saw you with Paul Wilson, train song, you've got it buddy, some people no matter how hard they try, how much do practice, they never can get it like that, you have been blessed
Great job Doyle. Inspirational as always. I think your Tennessee Stomp would be a great hit on the radio as an instrumental - we have not had one of those in quite some time! Thanks Doyle!
"Jesus cleans his fish after He catches them". I just might need another T shirt made... Very clever to tie that wonderful tele into the theme of our hypocrisy. I'm corrupt and false, but have the constant grace of the love of Christ working to detoxify me. I have that 58 tele neck, too!
Just seeing this week's Tele video. Scotty Anderson has always played an older Telecaster and he seems to have paper under his B string, is this a common fix? Great as usual.
I think you practiced a little on that old guitar.... I kind of like that song, sur means in front of and render is like a processing .... Wow your links some beautiful songs there too!
Lord how did Doyle get to be such a magnificent guitar player. I would give a million bucks to play that good…..if I had a million bucks that is. BTW I too stopped going to church many years ago due to much of what you talked about concerning hypocrisy inside the churches I attended. Two churches both much alike with hypocrisy and internal conflicts plus a whole lot of talking trash about other denominations different from their particular denomination. After 10 years I just got sick and tired of it all. That said I never lost my faith and belief. I just found other ways I could be happy in knowing God was real.
Great job. Do you also play banjo because those rolls are really nice. I also detect some Danny Gatton influence unless I'm mistaken and that is your own style. It's not a rare thing for more than one person to come up with the same idea.
Great String Along! I’ve noticed before but the tunes you were picking on the Tele , how you do pull offs in an upward movement rather than down. Fast and Clean. Did Chet do that ?
This will certainly not keep me from watching your episodes, but wish you could fix the sound levels. Sounds like you are overdriving the mics. I don’t want any unwanted sounds competing with your stellar geetar pickin! Thank you for giving us these free vids to enjoy and your message of God and love for all. We all need more positivity!
Doyle I see something between the high E and B on nut of the 58 Tele. Is that to make the behind the nut bends easier? Little more spacing on the high E to get it away from the fretboard edge? Or is it just the lighting playing a trick on my eyes?
I love you, brother. Thanks for the blessing of sharing your music.
I didn’t know I needed Doyle on a Tele but I do.
Every Sunday I feel so blessed to hear the Sunday String Along. I absolutely love it. Just a couple of days ago I prayed that the Lord would give me a new start in life so your message is really speaking to me. Thx Bro Dykes!
Great! God’s specialty is starting over! He’s The Potter & We’re the Clay! Read Jeremiah 18…
The world would be such a better place if everyone would watch the Sunday String-Along! The music you play always makes for a happier heart and the Truth you share makes for a healthier soul. Thank you, Doyle. I so appreciate these videos.
Thanks so very much Cliff!
Ahhh that’s awesome. That biting
Telecaster sound. God bless you
and your wife. Maranatha!

Thank You!
Thanks DD! Awesome message.
Thank you!
I was born in 1958 just like that telecaster!
You youngster You!

Check out Paul Wilson‘s channel soon… We just did some recording today. Caleb is on it. The blind pig and the acorn is the name of the channel.
Dear Doyle,

Oh brother! Thank You for your kind message! May the Lord give you strength and healing in Jesus name. Remember Psalm 73:26!!

Thanks so much for that great message. There’s nothing like being around our family, especially when they like our picking right.??
Thank You Doyle for using your gift to honour God and introduce people to Christ.
Also for your teaching on Christian living. Blessings to You.
God is worthy of so much more than I can give Him. Thank You!
So good..........and somewhere Jerry Reed is smiling...
Jerry was great and he loved Jesus!
The ol Tennessee Stomp sounded like Lay Down Sally 😀😀✌✌
I was probably just picking around that when I wrote it. It does have the same groove.
Thanks Doyle for your devotion and commitment for doing these every week. I get up every Sunday morning, make a coffee, put in my headphones and sit back to another Episode and listen for what God wants to remind me of through you.

Doyle are you a cgp or did Chet pass before he declared you one? Either way you certainly are. I’ve been a fan for years!
