- I ran into 3 of my old JW peeps at Costco. We stopped and chatted for awhile. I spoke me truth and so did they. ❤️ I abruptly faded in 2020 and this was the first time we’ve seen each other in over 4 years .
Read the paragraph, ask the question, find the answer in the paragraph, read the next paragraph... THAT is pure cult programming. I never even noticed it until i got out. The awkwardness is eventually exhausting

I'm in my mid-40s now. What I saw as I was leaving was unrecognizable compared to what I grew up in. Study and meeting participation took real thought and work. Part of what woke me up was how dumbed-down everything had become. Giving a comment at the WT study got to the point that it took no thought at all; in fact the less thinking the better. It had gotten to the point that if a comment was given that actually had some thought, or was just a little outside the margins, the conductor as well as a few people in the audience would literally look at you like you were crazy, like something was wrong with you.

When a witness "friend" saw me while she was waiting in a queue at the post shop...shock horror ..she turned into a statue when I smiled and gave her a little wave as I passed by. That's what this religion does to people, causes them to react in such weird ways. Hi to all my new x jw friends .From New Zealand.

Two came to my house to invite me to the C.O. talk. I said no won't be doing that. They asked if I read the Watchtower. I said no. They asked if I did not believe they had the truth then who did. I said I don't have to answer that because I don't have to. I was more than gracious. Thanked them for a lovely visit stood up and walked them yo to the door. I felt sorry for thier captivity but the whole encounter was freeing to me. The chains have been broken for me.

Thank you for this excellent video that made me laugh. Thank you for your testimony, it joins the thousands of others who confirm what you say. Myself, after having excluded the Watchtower society from my life, some of my former "friends" expected to see me become a "person of the world". Unfortunately for them, they could not be comforted in their ideological pattern pre-implanted by the Watchtower. I did not transform into a bitter, angry, selfish, materialistic, fornicating person or whatever else... NO, I simply remained exactly the same person I was, with a few less irrational beliefs. Despite everything, I had become for my former "friends" a "person of the world" to avoid. It is thanks to the behavior of my former "friends" that my children understood the absurdity and toxicity of this "religion". I can never thank enough all my former "friends" who, thanks to their "beautiful" Christian example, have unintentionally demonstrated the sectarian attitude of Jehovism, thus contributing to accelerating the process of awakening my children.
I hope you will continue your channel. Thank you.

I enjoy conversations with the JW and mormons (southern baptist apostate). Im very cordial and welcoming. I pull out my "walk through the bible" manuscript that I made many years ago and start explaning all of the discrepancies, violence and moral positions that I was against. I let them know it was a pleasure meeting them and wish them good luck. They usually don't come back.😢😊

Good for you! I ran into a witness who use to study with me. While we were talking, she asked if I was still going to meetings? And I said no. I said I left, and I actually have a better relationship with Jesus more than I did when I was a Witness. She was shocked didn’t know what to say and she cut me off real quick. Her elder husband stood at a far and I think he knew I was disfellowshipped, but she didn’t. Hopefully she will wake up one day

I never told anyone about CSA while a young JW because I was very young (2-5 yrs old) and I believed I would be in trouble because gay sex (my step father) was wrong and somehow I would die in Armageddon for it. The Paradise Lost children's book had all these scary pictures of Armageddon so I was so scared of committing a sin and dying because of it. Us children were kept too scared to report CSA. It gave me nightmares.

That's an awesome response to them! You held your ground! I'm looking forward to running into some jdubs. They avoid me for some reason. Lol! I also wanted to mention I have a similar past with them. My mother was the only one in my family to become part of the JW's. I was 2 yrs old, so basically raised as one. Finally left at 37 yrs old. Mon was the only one of our family in. (My brother and sister were baptized and left before I did) My mom kept our relationship strong even after I left, so I didn't have to deal with the family shunning. I did have to 'meet' my family all over again. That was interesting to say the least. Anyway, proud of you! Keep up the good work!

Just a few years ago, I would’ve had the same reaction that you expressed. I am so grateful that I was drawn out of this evil fake religion through chords of love and I can finally have a relationship that is genuine with my savior Christ Jesus and with his father Jehovah and with genuine Holy Spirit filling me. my auto immune diseases have gotten so much better since I stopped letting those people have any part of my life

I was never even a publisher, let alone baptized. But still feel the pain of shunning from all my large jw side of the family. I still have a Really hard time, I feel like a square peg in a round world. Anytime I've seen family, it feels like an episode of "The Walking Dead". i just get into a conversation act like i don't know anything gain the confidence so as they thinks there preaching to me. then i contradict there own beliefs using there own bible. because they added words to the bible to suit there beliefs but what they don't know is how they made there bible contradict itself. "if you know the scriptures" most times they just stop talking to me because they know i'm not going to join or i might talk them out of it. they are so brainwashed it's like talking to a wall. You should have asked if the Pharisees were apostates? Luke 11:37,38 Jesus accepted a dinner invitation from a Pharisee. (who were Apostates) If associating with apostates which Jesus did all the time is a sin. Please show us the scripture.

The Samartains were actually viewed as Apostates by the Jews.
They worshipped on a mountain and the Jews would have no dealings with them, not even speak to them.
That is why the woman at the well was shocked when Jesus asked her for a drink, the scripture says: For Jews do not associate with Samaritans
Jesus not only spoke with her, he went and stayed with the samarians in her village, so he would have eaten with them too.

Actually, the Pharisees were not apostates. They were a prominent religious sect of Judaism, not Christianity. The title literally means "Separated Ones.” An apostate was one who accepted Jesus and his teaching, hence Christianity, then deviated from it, left it and taught other things.
Notwithstanding what Jehovah's Witnesses teach; think back to the first century. Whatever you feel was being taught as "truth" at that time, this is what the apostle John said to do should one leave that teaching:
2 Jo. 9-11, "Whoever transgresses and does not abide in the doctrine of Christ does not have God. He who abides in the doctrine of Christ has both the Father and the Son. 10 If anyone comes to you and does not bring "this doctrine," do not receive him into your house nor greet him; 11 for he who greets him shares in his evil deeds." (NKJV)
Concerning the Pharisee whom Jesus accepted an invitation to dine with, you may want to read the entire account of that dinner-verses 37-54. It didn't go too well. 🤣

I then warn them that, if they go through this narrow gate they will lose their family as a consequence of the Watchtower Societies shunning policies.

I then ask them if they want to live forever.

I also tell them that they can leave the organization and their congregation with dignity by telling everybody that they believe Jehovah, Jesus Christ and everything else in the bible.

Walk out with your head held high and jump for joy when you do.

What Jehovah said would happen, is now really happening!

it's taking a long time, but the wheels are finally starting to come off of their bullshit. I was born into it but left when I was 15 years old and to be honest I have had no family contact since then, but I raised five kids and they were all that I really ever needed, I've had a great life. I love seeing EX!Jehovah's Witnesses rise up and put up a fight. I see so many that left years ago only to fall into alcoholism or drug use and never tried to educate themselves as to how that happened to them. It's very sad so I commend you.

What a terrible waste of my youth. but I eventually figured it out. most of my family is still involved with JW's even though I have been out for so many years it's still something im confronted with on a weekly or monthly basis so I keep up-to-date with all the happenings and goings on. I have a morbid fascination with it lol
