The single diopter adjustment on the 'cheapees' is a pretty standard setup. You adjust the binos main focus to your left eye (right eye shut), then adjust the right diopter focus to your right eye (left eye shut). It works well; it adjusts to BOTH eyes; it saves money by only requiring the mechanism/cost for one adjustable diopter.
Picked up a pair of Vortex Crossfire a couple of years back, very nice glass. Compared them to the Razor HD and could not tell the difference in the glass. As far as I can tell the only difference is more coatings on the glass, the glass is made in Japan and 4x price.
My razor hd binoculars gather so much light at night, bright lights hurt to look at. They are absolutely insane. I immediately noticed a night and day difference between them and the viper binoculars. The Swaro EL is another world away from these. If you cant see the difference run what you brung, but to my eye the razor is close to my nightforce glass in quality
M24 are great. Love them, very tough very yseful reticle. Laser filter is a bonus. However, wasnt very impressed with the Bushnell spotter. A leupold Mk4 on an Ashbury tripod is the best investment you could make in a spotter
I was at a surplus store years ago with former israeli military 8x30 Steiner surplus for sale.A very large amount.I stood there for the longest time looking through them and EVERY SINGLE pair was severely out of collimation and would hurt your eyes/head.I havent trusted a pair of Steiner 8x30 since.I couldn't find a single usable pair.
Steiner makes the 8x30 now, in civilian and military models. One of the 8x30 military models has the M-22 reticle for measuring distance. Nice and clear glass, but not that cheap.

yes, you are not setting exact dioptires correction (L: -1d,R: +2d) on each eye, but set a difference in dioptries between them (L:0, R: +3d)
Hey, where did you get the glare diffuser for the lens?
Old padlock works by itself as blunt force instrument or in combination with a good belt as a flail. Neither will be confiscated by airline.
I carried a single telescoping walking stick as my self defense throughout Europe. no problems.
Totally stealing the bipedal magnification joke
I know right
I made that joke up a long time ago and now everybody is stealing it smh

What about the steel self defense pens they make? Idk if airlines allow those, but it seems like the best option IMO
Riiiiight. Ninja master here with his steel pen.
Is the objective threaded on that spotter?
diopter compensaions, you focus the binoculars with the left eye, then adjust the right eye with the diopter. then both will be in focus

For the ARD, all i do is just tape on some mesh over the lens. can cam it up real good that way too

Climbing carabiners make good "brass knuckles" and TSA has never looked twice.. keep a locking biner mollie'd into my GoRuck that I fly with
C'mon! Say Schteiner. You can do it. Even Yeager could say it. 😁
One time I used a cat fancy magazine to fend off some loan shark harassing a friend's mother so I can attest to how well it works.
Da A alright there Michael
