I absolutely love that yarn too, I love the perl the most, although there are numerous I really love. I made several scarf’s with it Thank you for your wonderful tutorials
Thanks for the video, I saw this crochet stitch called the braided puff stitch on another website and have been trying to figure out how to make it more open. This is the pattern I have been looking for.. Great tutorial.
Love that you use red heart, they donate half their profit to the kids with cancer and blood diseases if it wasnt for red heart doing such a kind hearted thing i wouldn't be alive today
Jessica Potthoff - Thank you for sharing this, I had no idea. Love RH even more now. I have MS & early stage myeloma. So great to know they help a great cause. I know this is an older comment, but I felt it was important to let you know how much I appreciate your comment. Hope you’re still doing well today. Have a great day.
Wow-I had no idea they did this! I will definitely seek out their yarns from now on, and will tell my crafty friends as well. And I’m glad that they were able to help you too!
This stitch looks like it will work up quickly after some practice. Thank you for sharing your gift with us. I get loads of compliments on the items I have made from the videos that you have shared. I was thinking this stitch would work up nicely into a beret or ruana or a matching set of both. My favorite color way of unforgettable is Tidal with Tealberry running a very close second!
I'm making a blanket using Drops cotton merino. I'll try to insert a dc into the middle of the three unused stitches between the puffs. I guess that should work. Thanks so much for the very clear tutorial!
Love this V Puff! Thanks for showing how it’s done. If I’d like to make a scarf the same size as sample shown in photo at beginning of tutorial (6 V Puffs across one row), NOT the swatch made in the video, how many stitches would I need to cast on? Thank you.
Thank you for making this easy to watch and easy to hear. It was clear and concise. And no music to interrupt you or me. ;-) I love the setting sun colors, from orange to yellow to aqua and green. Hugs.
I'm making a skirt with this stitch. Can't wait to see how it turns out !!! FJORD Crystal Palace Yarns ... it's a variegated yarn with 2 different shades of blue, purple, green, and white... thank you so much for sharing this with us!!! Have a blessed weekend!!!
I'm just getting back into crocheting again, I have red heard super saver melonberry that I'm using this stitch to make a baby blanket for my great niece. I haven't used the unforgettable yet. Can't wait to try it.
Love this stitch I do won’t to start a blanket I would like a sweater for winter a vest lol scarf I have been crocheting for several years and never have made anything for me but that is going to change when I finish 4 Afghans
I’ll be making a ruana/kimono style wearable blanket/wrap for an amazing mentor, and I’ll also be making a blanket for my amazing husband! Right now I’m in love with a couple color ways of unforgettable... sunrise, gossamer, and tidal.
I have NEVER worked with that type of yarn before! I am sure I have seen it around and now that you have turned me on to it, I want to know more about it! I am a scarf junkie, so I will be making a scarf! :)
Very nice tutorial! Thank you for sharing it. I love Unforgettable yarn. Love all the colors, but Dragonfly and Petunia are my favorites! I would love to make a quick cowl or scarf.
I would love to make a baby blanket and I love all the colors! I made scarves for a Christmas present and everyone got a different color! I love your style of teaching! I have learned so much from you! Thank you!💛💜💙❤️💚💛💜💙❤️💚💛💜💙❤️💚
Because I am a total beginner, I'd like to make a triple wrap infinity scarf, or a lap blanket; I love many of these colorways, but Gossamer has me hooked!
Hi, I love this stitch and I would like to know what would be the foundation row for the cowl? Multiple of 4 plus 10? Or better yet multiple of 12 plus 2? Please advise, thanks!
I would make a baby blanket with a matching outfit including booties. I have a lot the this yarn and have no favorite because they are all beautiful. I have done a shawl in the crocodile stitch using this yarn. Thanks for the video you rock.
I used red heart yarn for my 4-H projects in the 70s and I grew to hate knitting and crocheting because of the yarn. As an adult I decided I wanted to try knitting again but I went to a yarn store and bought beautiful wool. I now love knitting and crocheting again. Acrylic yarn has its place but not in my stash.
Oh wow, the Red Heart Unforgettable yarns are my utmost favorite too! :) I am always searching for stitches that I think will do them justice and are fun and easy to do as well, and this stitch does. My first project with this: a winter scarf. My absolute favorite color is the Candied. It was the first color I saw when I first fell in love with them. I had found a single skein on clearance at Walmart but then was unable to find the exact color for the longest time, even online. Eventually I discovered another store (Michael's) that carries them in abundance so I stocked up on them. Now I can't get enough of it and I love every single color it comes out with!
Don’t ever be afraid to show your beautiful face and engage with your audience, you are doing awesome and I adore your tutorials! You are patient, kind and an incredible teacher. ❤️ The puff is one of my favorite stitches, parrot is one of my favorite color ways (they are all gorgeous) 😉 and I like making anything .. I’m working on stuff for those who are sick and Christmas gifts for grandchildren and family members. 😊 Big hugs from TN! ❤️😘 Don’t you dare hide from that camera!! 😁😁
Howdy neighbor! I live in Tennessee as well! I wish there were some crochet groups around here. It would be so fun to gather once a week with a group of crocheters for a couple of hours or so.
When you say multiples of 4 plus 10 do you mean 4+4+4 and the End with an extra 10 before turning & begining the next foundation row OR just 14+14+14 and then turn to start the next foundation row ?
Glad you liked it! I'd recommend making a swatch with the yarn and hook you plan to use and measure how many v-puffs and rows are in four inches. Then use that info to calculate the number you'll need for the size cover you need to make.
I would love to make a hat! I love all the colors I guess Parrot would be a beautiful beanie hat! I am not sure what the chain count needs to be for a childs hat around 13 years old.
I am making a wristlet keychain using this stitch. It has 2 V Puff stitches. Starting chains is, ch 6 and 5 SC. I want to make one with only one V Puff stitch. What would be my beginning chain count?
Aloha! I love your videos👍 its loud and clear and your presentation is Perfect. I live in Honolulu Hi and here in the Islands we wear a lot of swim wear all year round. I am trying to create a Bikini top with the puff stitch. However the colors that I'm using is bright like a bright green or Orange with white. I must say that I am having a difficult time with the puff stitch in the triangle part of the bikini top. I will keep trying until I can pls get some kind of response. Thank you for your time...Take Care and God Bless
But how would you do it if you have to do a double crochet in a chain and then do a puff stitch in the chain before the double crochet? And it's 2 strands of yarn?
I want to add this stitch to my temperature blanket and I have 230 chains. Will this stitch work? Relatively new to crochet and don't understand the 4+10 rule
Where can I find the instructions for in the round? I don’t see it with the written pattern for rows back and forth. I’m trying to make a can koozie with the v puff stitch.
I absolutely love that yarn too, I love the perl the most, although there are numerous I really love. I made several scarf’s with it
Thank you for your wonderful tutorials
Thanks for the video, I saw this crochet stitch called the braided puff stitch on another website and have been trying to figure out how to make it more open. This is the pattern I have been looking for.. Great tutorial.
Haven't tried the yarn yet but my favorite color is blue. Thanks for the instruction. Very good video.

Wow !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So much easier than I thought!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you so so so much. I love your videos❤️❤️❤️❤️
Love the look of this stitch, and I want to make a blanket... Unforgettable yarn color I love, 1st Tidal, 2nd Red Sea... a tie!!
Thank you for teaching this stitch, and also introducing me to this gorgeous yarn. I would like to make a blanket with this stitch.

This stitch looks so fancy and complicated, yet so easy! Amazed!!!
I'm making a blanket using Drops cotton merino. I'll try to insert a dc into the middle of the three unused stitches between the puffs. I guess that should work. Thanks so much for the very clear tutorial!
It works! :-)
Thank you for sharing beautiful V Pop stitch ! 🌹❤️
You are so welcome!
Thank you for the best puff video. I wanted to make a lap robe using king kole Parchment but I read below that Red Heart is a philanthropic company.
Thank you for sharing and I pass you on a compliment. ITS BEAUTIFUL 😊👍🏻
I'm confused. The swatch shown doesn't match your tutorial. The tutorial swatch shows a lot of gaps, not puff stitches side by side.
Love this V Puff! Thanks for showing how it’s done. If I’d like to make a scarf the same size as sample shown in photo at beginning of tutorial (6 V Puffs across one row), NOT the swatch made in the video, how many stitches would I need to cast on? Thank you.
Thank you so much! I’ve been struggling with the count on a foundation row. My favorite Boutique Yarn is ALL OF THEM😉❤️
Thank you for making this easy to watch and easy to hear. It was clear and concise. And no music to interrupt you or me. ;-) I love the setting sun colors, from orange to yellow to aqua and green. Hugs.
Great yarn. I’m currently doing a puff beanie hat but not a v puff. Love the color changes.

I have NEVER worked with that type of yarn before! I am sure I have seen it around and now that you have turned me on to it, I want to know more about it! I am a scarf junkie, so I will be making a scarf! :)
